Very interesting site; I assure you.
I think this is better than Google earth http://local.live.com/. The images are at least 3 years old, from old Ex-Soviet spy satellites. (So I`ve heard). Not bad for a freebie, and the quality is very good. I can even see my backyard garden and recognise the tree at the end; and even one person walking in the street.

Forget the image. I wonder how long this site will last.

That is damn amazing. I can see my car parked on my drive! Google maps just has a green blur for my village

The Thames is a wonderful brown colour, but the Tees is black.

Re: Very interesting site; I assure you.
the pictures of my house in Nottingham is very recent - you can see the new windows we had put in last summer!
Strangely though, it will zoom all the way in on my house... but not any of the areas around it...
I love the 3-D look from the North, South, East, West thing. Amazing!
Oh and it won't zoom in completely on anywhere else i've lived...

Re: Very interesting site; I assure you.
Interesting. Only one view (West) available for my house though. My car's parked out front so I could have been at home.

Re: Very interesting site; I assure you.
Google Earth looks much better for my place. I can't zoom in very close. I can't even see the house, not to talk about my car :/.

Heh, I demand somebody pay attention to Norway soon!
I'm hard-pressed to even pick out individual streets on these maps :/
Google Earth was slightly better than this one though.

Re: Very interesting site; I assure you.
The Portsmouth Naval Docks look ok for some strange reason; the "green helicopter carrier" shows well.

Re: Very interesting site; I assure you.
Google has much closer images for me too. I can make out my house and car on this, but Google goes close enough to make out my random garden furniture.

on the selector thing (with the zoom and the arrows), there is also a choice between road and aerial.
