I seriously think there should be allowed 1 free exile within 10 ticks of the shuffle if you get put into a Galaxy, and you know it's not going to work out.

I must say it's a nice idea... Being the only one to login after several hours after shuffle is proof that the place will be dead. Having the chance to exile once for free is a nice idea I think.

how do u know if a galaxy will work out in only 10 ticks. the entire premise behind a lot of the exile restrictions in place is that people should be allowed 24 ticks to proove themselves.

Its quite possible that say half a galaxy might be offline in the 10 ticks after the shuffle and then might be really active the rest of the round - u just don't know.

I knew mine this round within 1 tick as it was in the bottom 5-10 galaxies. Now if the shuffle was actually done to make all gals even, not a 150,000-200,000 point gap. Dont know if it is possible in practice.

I know it's largely based on prejudice and that it can indeed turn out to be very good, but then, let's say one free exile before the end of the protection... That is normally well enough time to see who's going to be a player and who's going to be a placeholder...

Indeed!

My gal was ranked somewhere near the bottom... At this moment we are in top 20...

10 ticks is really nothing... In the start a finished construction alone could shoot you up the ranks.

Sorry but if you are idle for 10 ticks in the first few parts of the round you are not really playing the game unless you are unpaid. Maybe this 1 free exile should be for upgraded planets since active paid players are the only ones really concerned about this.
