Re: India/Pakistan
Manmohan Singh (PM of India.) and Pervez Musharraf, (President of Pakistan.) respectively, are the men with teh powar.
Singh is from the Congress Party, which is probably at the moment more open to Pakistan than it's rival, the BJP was when it was in office. (The BJP is a Hindu Nationalist party, you see, which means it isn't hasn't had a very good relationship with Muslims within India - it did foster a moderately stable, if often deeply unfriendly relationship with Pakistan, though - but they came close to war in 2002.)
Musharraf is a fairly moderate military dictator who looks to be around for some time yet. 'Nuff said.

Re: India/Pakistan
Heh, i had no idea at all about this guy, doubt he will last too long tbh.
Its amazing that the Indian pm was born in pakistan and the Pakistani president born in india, its a funny part of the world!
Can you see the Indian PM lasting any great length of time?

Well, he seems quite stable in Parliament, (Although with a small majority.) so it's fair to assume atm that he has a good chance of lasting until the next Indian general election, at the very least.

Re: India/Pakistan
Manmohan Singh was the father of the trade reforms ushered into india in the early 1990s (which spurred significant growth in the early years, until political turmoil, oil price surge and asian crisis set in). He is a very good economist.
I don't think he will be going anywhere soon, at least not for a while
