Disable "Run and Hide" during havoc
There would be far more 'havoc' if this option was disabled.

Re: Disable "Run and Hide" during havoc
Awful idea. (Havoc is just like the real round, except you have to be even more active in order to do well, making run and hide even more useful and important.)

So he gave them the coy little wave and realized it probably would have been more effective if he hadn't been lying on their turkey.

Re: Disable "Run and Hide" during havoc

Re: Disable "Run and Hide" during havoc
no no, bad idea.
if some one wants your roids, then let him take them. but crashing fleets is not fun. some pple are not playing havoc 24/7 like some of those no life people.
its one thing to make things fun, and another to make it that severe

I retract my previous support now I've had a night to sleep on it.

If you prelaunch your fleet away at 10+12, it'll be out for almost 8 hours. Sure, you can get newsied every tick and be FC, but the key word here is HAVOC. To 'make it that severe' would be to make it how havoc (and the real rounds) has always been. The general lack of complaints that allowed havoc to be without a run and hide option for so long makes your claim seem a bit exaggerated.

Havoc is not just like the real round: there is one alliance (sometimes two) that houses about half of the people that are going to play the duration of havoc actively, and there are hundreds of inactive, fat planets waiting to be easily farmed. So then it depends on what you mean by "do well." If you mean achieve a good planet rank, you can be considerably less active (time wise) to finish in the top 100 (even 50 really). In the context of havoc, I view "do well" as creating havoc, and in order to do this well, disabling the run and hide option would help me "do well" much better.

How about you just disable alliances in havoc?

Re: Disable "Run and Hide" during havoc
How about you just disable havoc completely ... people should do these kinds of things during a normal round already, instead of playing sim planet during the round and then going into normal pa mode during havoc.

This would be wonderful, but currently unattainable.

why would this (=disable alliances) be unattainable?
On the subject, the run and hide option is good for havoc. Havoc is about having some extra fun, not about how fast ziks (and to some extent, etd) can steal ships from ppl who dont even play havoc. Hide and run makes it more interesting for non-stealers

The chat I had in #support awhile back about havoc showed they were more interested in using a host of inaccuracies to support their close mindedness about havoc policies than implementing changes following a reasoned discussion. Though in this game it really takes a nick that means something (mine doesn't) more than a reasonable point to get something done, so at least from my perspective it's unattainable.

So you're saying it's extra fun to prevent people from stealing ships, so that instead inactive planets can keep those ships? That amassing free roids is somehow interesting? I disagree.

That'll happen when you talk to anyone but Appoco, and even he tends to play it conservatively. It's a good thing #support is not in charge of the game though!

I realise this wasn't aimed at me, but presonally, I don't think it's very much fun to do either of those things, to be honest,. This is the whole problem with havoc, of course. You got yourself maybe 100 people who really enjoy it, about 500 people who are just preparing for next round and about 1000(?) newbies who you want to use as farms. Whooptidoo.
