Instead of paying the entire cost of ships upfront when we order them, what if a percentage was paid for each tick in prod.
Example: you order 70k each res ships in 10 ticks. each tick 7k each res is taken from your statch.

- if you cancel the order you just lose the money you already paid (no refund to consider)
- no hidding resource in prod (would pave the way for an efficient return of cargo ships)
- Sandmans will show you're producing ships (with small loss in value/score each tick) but it would still be impossible to predict when they're out of prod (due to priorities/factories settings)
- if for whatever reason you don't have the cash to pay for the next tick of prod, the order is paused until you get the cash.

The keyword is "paused". I could start a huge production, much bigger than my income can afford. Every 4 or 5 ticks the order will advance by 1 tick*, effectively allowing me to hide res in my queue once again.

I dont see the use/gain of this... something to do with not losing money from ships in production that could die...?

The main idea is that you couldn't hide resources in production, So your stock would be bigger and the cargo ships could steal from it.
