i guarentee itll be great. I read the first one when it came out, end of first year, so i guess i was 12. (dammit though, i got it in paperback instead of hardback, othersie cha-ching).
Second one, end of second year. I was 13.
So ofc, knowing theres 7, i wasnt exactly about to stop reading the series, was i?
Third one, end of third year. I was 14. it was only really by then the Mass-hype started (imo). There was publicity before, but not like this. Now we all knew thered be a movie etc.
Fourth one was the best yet. End of fourth year methinks, i was 15. problem was, with the movie coming out, she realised she could live off one book for 2 years, and that kind of sucked.
The hype was a bit annoying over the movies, as i went to see the first one, and it was horrid. Im informed the second one was slightly better, but i dont believe it.
Harry Potter is as good as anything Dahl ever wrote. Its clever, it keeps you suspended, and it appeals to people of any age. Its very easy to hate. I doubt many of these people have read the books. I eagerly await the 5th book, and im trying to avoid finding out who dies. Apparently some folk have stolen copies already, i saw a few seconds of "this morning" with that, so i turned off and went back to sleep.
Go down to your library, get the first one out. its a good, light read.

Actually I know quite a few people who read harry potter books (most of who you wouldn't expect to actually) over 18. It's simply a book. Having a targeted age-group doesn't mean only that age-group can read it. The best books transcend categorisation.
