The Escort maffia

Ok I know why a player would want his fleets escort'ed.
It's easy, you have a better chance on a high position.

What I don't understand, is why an alliance would let members escort other members so that that one member can get roids.
If all the other planets would have launched on other targets the roidgain would have probably been much bigger.

I can understand that an alliance would want a topplayer, but certain alliances which condone escorting have a lot of topplanets.

Then there is ofcourse the situation that the escorters aren't alliance members but 'friends'. This is what I call the grey area.
I have friends in PA too, but most of them want to get a good position in PA, so they wouldn't think about launching their fleet without pods together with me every night.
There are ofcourse the friends who play less active and that don't mind escorting your fleet, another problem occurs, someone who is that inactive isn't really eager to get up in the middle of the night to launch with you.
You are happy if you can find one friend to do that for you.

What I notice in PA nowadays that there are dozens of players who have 5/6 planets escorting them every night.

I have serious doubts about their fairness in this game and if they play the game fair, cudos for them.
I'd like to know from them how they got their friends that far.

well one of the alliances that have players using escort fleets has a memberbase coming from mostly one country, that isn't in a much different timezone then PA

That's still against the rules, and I severely doubt they could not know it wasn't the alliance m8s only planet.

sometimes it is not friends but 'family'. You know, those people that have to use the same PC as their relatives.

Strange quiet people these 'friends' and 'family' dudes and dudettes cause when you ask their gals they have never seen them on Irc or never even communicated with those planets...

The escorts this round are a shame. Even if they are legit, like legit scan planets, they screw up the competive balance of the game. Im sure members of my alliance do it a fair bit too. Even if it isnt multiing, it effects the game the same as multiing. Dunno how it could be stopped though. The only real legitimate escort is another active player whos just helping for fleet comp.

We would actually get out of bed every night, but this is because we all have fairly decent planets at this moment.

This would last 3 days and then we would say jorn fk off, multi it or something but i aint doing this anymore for you.

There is almost no chance you could get 6 'friends' to get out of bed everynight, every time you go roiding.

But you use(d) them a lot. And your alliance even more. I should estimate that your alliance should have about 100 to 200 friend/family playing just to escort your members. Amazing stuff !!

Teaming up on targets is a good way to take out bigger targets but if big members from my alliance wanted me to escort their own fleets so they could catch easier roids I would tell them to go **** themselves, plain and simple.

Not only does the god damn planets using escort sink low but the planets escorting them sink just as low (I am talking about the "legal" escort, not the multis(I aint even gonna comment on them))

I have been attacked big twice this round and both times the main planet had tons of xan fi escort. (one eclipse so your right about your own alliance using it Germania)

May all the planets using escort and all the planets escorting **** off from pa.

i've had what ? a whole of 2 or 3 escort fleets all round? i doubt there are many top 250 players that can even say that.... hal get some info... make sure it's correct... think it over.. then post.

You had 4 escort fleets when you attacked my gal. I still have the galstatus. There were more than ten other escort fleets on that galstatus attacking with your allies. I can count fairly decently thank you.

Im still in top 150 atm (prolly not for long), and didnt get 1 fleet escort this round.

I rather look like a bad player with my rank then use 5/6 fleet escorts every day. Cuz tbh, everyone can get into top 10 like that.
Just select ur race xan and get some nice xan / cath escorts.

And i know several more ppl in top 250 who dont use fleet escorts.

And jornx, dont point that obvious to LDK, cuz several more alliances get top players like that.

Yes can admins actually do something and close those LDK cheaters? 15 out of top25 planets, several hundreds of escort & farm planets...yea surely, nice game. SPINNER WAKE UP!

heh funny thing is. first of all i hate using escorts just cuz of the flames it gives you.
secondly i think it's lame to use em... as quite basically i can take almost any target by myself anyways....
third i don't like attacking with others as almost ALWAYS there are fk ups.
besides.....maybe there were different bg's attacking.. and that i even doubt as it happened twice only i think...
but tbh i don't care much further if you believe it or not... i know i don't use em... and my friends know i refuse their escorts heh that's more then enough info for me have fun trolling seeyas

You even admitted using maztijns' planets escort earlier. And his planet and another planet send 4 fleet with your fleets. Only a few of our planets actualy had two fleets with pods int them on the gal status and I don't think that on any of the gals planets two fleets with pods in them have landed. So unless your battlegroup happended to attack in coincedence with some other battlegroup that refuses to take roids from people it seems pretty obvious. Oh and we had another battlegroup attacking us as well that day but they somehow used about half the amount fleets or less even.

Its planetarion, a lot of people cheat, they will continue to cheat, nothing you say will make them stop. Have to admit though its amusing to see people claiming other alliances are cheating when they themselves are (general comment, not aimed at anyone in particular).

Thats fun logic, I guess we should stop employing police officers in rl because people will always kill.

This is a forum for discussions about this game. I think discussing the problem of cheating is a perfectly valid discussion. Last time I checked the word discussion didnt imply that it neccessarily had to be a solution to the problem. So the very basis of your bitching is pretty flawed.

As far as your last rant, I havent really seen anyone claiming thier alliance doesnt cheat around this discussion.
