I've been allied to a fair bit of you, over the rounds. Enemies, ofc with all of you, but not really enemies. I still do have respect for you, and your HC, that's not something that events in a solitary round should take away.

NewDawn has respect enough for you, and for itself not to run away when you come to take our roids, and steal our ships. We will fight you.

NewDawn will fight you to the last of our activity and energy. We will fight you at every planet you attack, and we will counter attack, even if you may think its futile. We will fight for every roid, for every ship, and we will most certainly die, alone among allies.

We will fight you because we respect you, we can do no less than that. And when this round finally ends, and we see that we've no doubt lost, and lost badly, we'll be triumphant in the knowledge that we didn't quit, or run. We will at least be able to say that we fought you, and we fought hard.

Thank you for your friendships, and for being a worthy opponent.

That makes me proud that you would automatically assume that NewDawn would stay and fight while everyone else goes into vacation mode. Unfortunately not everyone assumes that, but keep spreading the word..

Its something that USED to be taken taken for granted. Sadly these days it seems its not anymore. Which suprises me greatly from some people. I see nothing wrong with a post saying that they will stay and fight. Its much better than the usual whining and complaining that goes on these days.

And no, ColCarp, I didn't assume that ND would stand and fight. I said it was something that should be taken for granted. Sort of like people washing their cars.

Yet, isn't the main reason so many of us post, and directed specifically at my history here, is to strictly amuse ourselves? Many fail to understand that fact. I myself was more intrigued with good debates and amazing rhetorical reply than a simple "WOOT, WOOT".

And to extend this further, in terms of anyone who has ever posted on these boards, all can be separated into two groups: those who are amusing, and those who are not. It seems to me that it is has always been the case that the latter has been stuffed to overflowing.... (....with I as their Duke and pre-eminent figurehead.... lol....)

Don't let me get in the way of those who wish to carry on the
tradition. All I can say for myself is that at least I'm still not here
posting self-indulgent drivel on a daily basis like so many other poor souls that still haunt these once hallowed halls.

The thought wouldnt have even crossed my mind to tell Legion that we are gonna bend over and quit and all go into vacation mode, period. And I dont think any of the HC in our block would have said that to their alliances either. Because it has to come from a HC level, and frankly, why I might not have liked all of the command in our round 6 block, for the most part they all had, or at least showed fighting spirit and the pride in their alliance to show some balls and fight no matter how hard we were hit. Indeed, everyone was ardently anti vacation mode. I know Fury booted members who did it. I dont know about the others, but we never considered it an option so the subject really didnt come up.

Is the reason people are in vacationmode to protect their roids? I think they already lost them, so did VOM at the time.

Propaganda it is, most posts are. But at least in the context of this round we've got someone actually up for a fight rather than the poor excuses some alliances have brought up.

I agree that it shouldn't have to be regarded as something out of the ordinary, but it seems the quality of play has been reduced to the level that it now is. We shouldn't have to be praising posts like this; but we are because WEET's opposition has been poor and no one within WEET wants to go for the all-out win just yet.

This is PA, planets aren't there to sit around, shake hands, fold at the first sign of trouble and be nice to each other. Fighting is better than whining (which seems to have been most alliance's best effort to respond to the opposition alliances such as Eclipse have brought them).

I would prefer to see this as a sort of counter propaganda, if we have to touch that ugly 10 letter word. As you can doubtless see the vast majority of Nar is going or has gone into vacation mode, and that's really something that ND didn't wanted to be a part of. To remove any ND connexion with this situation I've used ad as a platform to WEET, I only really talk to Rabba, Olrik and Eylisia personally.

If you find any fault with the ND decision, I'll be glad to debate that, or debate anything else for that matter. I hope that this clears up my reason for posting for "those who couldn't see it."

PS: As for 'blowing my horn' my satisfaction comes from my friends in ND, not from AD.

Yet you say "To my friends in WEET"? If you only really talk to some of them, surely only those are your friends, and thus you only need to tell them in person? Sorry, do not pass go, do not collect 200 roids.

Firstly, if you're going to fight, show it. Don't just say, 'we're going to fight' then behave like IPC anyway. Secondly, I believe I've already asked you to keep your sexual habits private

It's always been good on AD for hirr, they've been consistently popular on this board, a lot of people seem to like 'Leto' who seems to be the guy people like to think of 'hirr'. They are popular because they've kept a philosophy of consistently engaging the enemy. I don't know anything about hirr/ND and splitting up, so if you want to fill me in in our channel, that's fine. To be honest though, if my allies went into vac, I wouldn't be best pleased.

I saw what happened in round 7, people (as usual) were too afraid of losing - no doubt it will happen again, it might not though. I'm with Biggdogg on this one, purely because so far all we've seen cop outs and a general lack of resiliance compared to rounds past. Wouldn't you rather the opposition responded by actually having a go with their planets instead of posting pages of drivel of why WEET are so eval because they dare to try to win? I certainly would.

Yes this post is phrased in a way blatantly to get popularity/sympathy, but still I'd rather have some ND fighting talk than a whining VOM or NAR member.

You argue semantics because you know your arguement on content is weak and vapid. As far as I've been told, hirr also ordered vacmode, although clarification would be appreciated.

We still attack and we still defend as an alliance, I've already said that success is almost out of the realm of possibility, even in a localized way. All you're really saying is that you can't come up with a legitimate reason for me not to post other than you don't want me to.

My main problem is is that a moderator of the alliance discussion boards is so wanting this to turn into a flame war, like every other thread that tries to promote debate, that he's willing to provoke people to sinking to his level: The realm of the demi-conscious. I have a tip for you: either close this thread or move on pal, because the only thing you're doing is distracting the flow of the thread from what the original post said to you.
