Distorters jamming scans on galaxy mates...

Distorters should NOT affect scans on galaxy mates, REGARDLESS of different alliances.

I thought this had been changed, but apparently the game doesn't recognize it if the galaxy mate you're trying to scan is in a different alliance...silly game mechanics (flaw??)

This really ought to be fixed, and shouldn't be too hard.

There is no flaw there. I think it was round17 that they made it so it was only your alliance that could always scan you. It was changed to this as opposed to alliance + gal, as in rnd16 it was not found to be a good way to do things.

Perhaps you should be able to allow scans by planets of your choosing?

That was one of the suggestions.

I was thinking, though, it might be worth having a tickbox saying "allow my galaxy's ministers to scan me", then you can have whomever is online at the time (eg, MoW), to be the galaxy scanner and scan incoming. That sort of thing.

why be forced to make them scan you at all?
Perhaps a page where you can simply look up the relevent data on galaxy mates instead of having to spend resources scanning? ( again if they explicitly allow it in preferences perhaps as a safeguard against gal spies though theres nothing stopping them scanning in the first place ).
