The final leap...
... and I'm not looking back.
Pa has been fun, you guys have amused me with your idiotic banter, and I have amused myself here for quite some time.
This board will soon be dead, joining the legions of braincells all of you have lost over the 8 rounds of this silly yet grueling game.
I have one set of opinions left to espouse:
-Congratulations Titans/LDK for a round well played.
-Congratulations to LDK for being the most feared, powerful and respected alliance in PA history.
-Congratulations to Fury for being the most politically adept yet hated alliance in the game.
-Congratulations to Legion for being the alliance who overall had the greatest impact on the game.
As I have never played this game to become number 1, I have no real fervent opinion as to who won this round, it just does not matter, but I have to say, some of the things I have read here from members of both sides of "the winners" argument are troubling.
I understand why Fury will never admit defeat, but not showing some humility in admitting that they were bested always left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Any admit of defeat would tarnish their proud military history in this game.
From my point of view, Fury had its ass kicked in round 4, round 6 and round 8.
I'm afraid, you are only as good as your last game, my grandfather used to say when we used to play cards.
The Roman Empire is still regarded as one of the most advanced and powerful nations in civilizations history, and they accomplished great things and their laws, customs and society are still duplicated and followed to this day. That is how I see Fury.
The decay of this once great empire was clearly evident in this last round.
In terms of overall alliance rankings, I have to say that the Legion was smart in withdrawing from round 8 officially. There legend lives on as they ended things on their own terms. The haughtiness, pride and arrogance (some will say the love of the community) kept Fury going past a point in time where they should have hung up the gloves in my view.
Anyways, ta ta boneheads...
That's all we have for news tonight and I... am... OUTTA HERE!
Leto

Actually I was joking too, given your recent post about me and my 'hahahaha' replies. NM then 'Kjel'.
Take care Leto.

k, fair enough, normally pple calling me Kjel (don't ask me why, I just hate it so I prefer to be named my full name or just Kj) mean it as an insult so I assumed you did the same.
If it was a truly joke then I guess I was too biased to ever know you'd joke instead of insulting

Fury should have left PA after r7, but the prospect of Sid coming back kept Fury together.
Had he not came back, I and other factions would have formed our own alliances, similar to Adelante

I'm amazed you made it this far, old man. I cashed in and ran a few months back already after BF1942 was released.
By the way, assuming you're still reading this, do you mind if I take this opportunity to say "ditto"? I dont think any number of words could even begin to encompass all the goodbyes I'd like to say in the community, and I'd much rather slip away silently than make a big ruckus. : ) One thing I would like to add, though..
