my fleet is not that great against DE, but i have a alliance for that. And my roaches usually stay home anyways (unless they are needed in defence).
I build the spiders,beetles,BW & WM to roid xan
the Co mainly for alliance defence and Guardian for ingal def trading and to keep some evil ppl away 
still a rather small fleet, but that has its reasons  (lost my fleet 2 times and started in a inactive gal where i hardly had any chance on growing, so shiplosses count double in that case + now have a annoying top cluster gal up me arse all the time :P)

I roided with the FI/CO. Started building a some FR/DE toward the end as a utility fleet and to have the cutters home when most of my fleet was out as anti fi/co just in case of the odd weak retal.
The pds is to eat up the E surplus, and being fleetcaught is a concern so what better pds to build than mesons.

I'm in an incredible ****ty gal, with 8Mill score I am the largest, and the larger gals in my para consider my gal a nice inbetween  Have lost roids quite a few times, and once my entire fleet too. Also have 1 peacekeeper btw to include in galdefence fleets, when we have eta 8 or 9 incoming and I dont wanna stay awake only because my defence is eta 3 :/

My fleet (and roidcount) was alot bigger on the weekened, when i lost all my FI/CO/FR/DE as well as 45% of my roids (damned Terrans :\). I had 1k Spids and 3k Beetles, plus 200 Beamers, 50 Pulsecannons and 50 BW/Astropod (yeah :P). Also had 600 roids :\. The PDS was to make it more difficult for Xans to kill me - by giving Sents a target (Beamers) i could hold off ~6k sents without loosing a single Tarant/Guardian etc (ie valuable units). I had some pulsecannons to make a Terran attacker pay just a little bit for any roids that they may capture.
About a week ago i lost some 300ish tarants (and about 75 Mantis) when i called a Xandathrii's bluff and came up against 10k sents :\
Nevertheless, the CR/BA fleet suited me well, because i could launch just before i went to school and recall a min or two before the tick (if i rode my bike really quickly from school ).
Landed in a gal with 1 active person and 2 other semi-actives, with the remainder generally having no clue as to what was going on :\. Though i suppose that's the same story for everyone.

cr/bs inparal raiding in start, then went to fi/co/fr to raid xan's/zik's.. after my roaches could not freeze enough of de's i turned to fi line totally, to enable my roidings on xan players and boost my defence against xan attacks what are most hard to cover if they come in bad time for u'r alliance or Bg.. or whatever u happen to belong.

I sort of messed up the fleet this round as I couldn't arse about playing very serious, but the general idea would be something like
Zikonian
20k Corsairs
10k Cutlass
3k Cutters
2.5k Clippers
1k Rogues
600 Apods
That's for the aprox. 10mil fleet, fi for deffing m8s and alliance, rest is the attack fleet, simple and well working ziko, quite simular to Jurgens though he used buccs and attack terrans getting huge amounts of terran de until he moved over to pure-de fleet and dropped apod/cutters going strongly on clippers, buccs and rogues and keeping on targeting terrans for a steady supply of pegs/demeters. (he should be finishing top10, though this original fleet was killed(all stolen de died) in a battle a while ago when he couldn't check so he's just been building up the resos and deffing people).

I had no problems with it really, but I still have no idea why I built phoenix and gryphon. Roiding wasn't a problem with my pegs/dems though, I still feel that was plenty.
