Run and Hide
Could we have some sort of noticeable message on Overview and/or Missions page when your fleet is on Run and Hide?
The feature is new, and a lot of people are still getting used to it. I've seen 2 people forget about switching it back to Stay and Fight and lose roids to it.
Note: your fleet is currently on Run and Hide!
Or something similar.
Alternatively, alert someone everytime he's moving ships to or from Base.

Re: Run and Hide
If you can't read, that's your own problem.

So he gave them the coy little wave and realized it probably would have been more effective if he hadn't been lying on their turkey.

And when half the country can't read, it becomes a national problem.

Re: Run and Hide
This'll solve itself. Stupid people get roided and either learn or get roided again.

Re: Run and Hide
But these aren't 'stupid people' getting roided; they're just not used to the new feature and overlook it.
Sure, eventually they'll learn, but I'd rather prevent probably countless of times (speculative, as I've no idea how many times this happens to others, but I'm sure it does) where people forget to switch it back.

Re: Run and Hide
In all fairness, since "Run and Hide" is not the default setting, they should have been remembering their decision to set their base fleet as such.

Yes, they are. Or rather, we are, as I was one of the people who did that. I learnt. So can they.

Re: Run and Hide
Look, the problem I have with this is that it's pointless to plant a nice conspicuous flag next to every change made to the game, because it just delays the "problem". We see changes every round, and players should be expected to keep up with them (if only by reading the whopping 7 lines of the change log). In this particular case, what Heartless said applies. Once you've changed the default behaviour, you're aware of the feature and should be expected to remember it.

Re: Run and Hide
It is not that difficult to check your base fleet everytime you get incs.
Rather than a reminder, there's maybe a better way to display the option... the drop down menu for that kind of choice is certainly not the best. I would have gone for radio buttons. It has the advantage of showing the 2 options on the page and there is certainly a way to clearly highlight the chosen one (in addition to the button) like a colored (red?) frame around the cell.
Something like that

The default is to stay home and fight, so ppl have changed it if it says otherwise, meaning heartless is correct, they do know about the feature.
It might be an idea to slightly highlight the setting a bit more though, though huge flashing neon signs and constant alerts will quickly get annoying.

Re: Run and Hide
All I'm saying that it's too easily overlooked.
Even putting it above the base fleet, instead of between base and fleet one, (with eiher a little big bigger font or a different colour) would make a big difference I think.
