I did. I believe the cost of the payout was unjustifiably high.

I like the way they can remember exactly what they ate even 5 years later.
I can't even remember what food i've eaten at a chinese restaurant 2 hours later when i'm in an Italian restaurant eating real food.

fortunately damages aren't awarded on the basis of what fat middle aged bank workers who live on god forsaken tiny islands and who think that it is acceptable to be seen wearing polyester shorts in public think is justifiable

damages aren't paid out in a lump sum usually I don't think...
So it's a salary over however many years.

Re: Could we have a legal opinion on what seems to be a horribly large amount of damages
Her husband was going to sue for loss of consortium but when the soliciter saw the missus, he pointed out that he would probably have to pay the restaurant for doing him a favor.
As to the amount of the award, it does not seem unreasonable. She has a life expectancy going in of 45 years. Not to be able to do the things you like or anything at all free of pain for 45 years for the pay of 26,666 pounds per year and that has to cover the cost of your care as well. Would you be willing to be thus afflicted for a like amount of money? I wouldn't.

And £1.2M buys a LOT of pies.
PS : interest payments on a lump sum of £1.2M will net you around £53,000 a year, even from a shite savings plan. Shes going to be earning a lot more purely in interest than she ever did in salary if she gets that as a lump sum.

I wonder how long until I develop telepathy and can explode your head through the internet. Hopefully it's soon. Like fifteen minutes away soon.
PS I was wondering where nantoz was the other day and I was almost going to make a thread about it but then I thought nah he'll be back soon and he is and it's great and I wish everyone cool would come back because then life would be more fun and we'd be like kool and the gang except we'd make better music as anyone who has listened to cubass should know.

this is the fat cow who has sex with pies seemingly and my wager isn't up to much according to some of you lovely people. Yes it is a lot of money but if you had pain in every part of your body and have to take toxic drugs to live and put on five stone in weight due to the drugs and immobility caused by the severe pain you probabley wouldn't look too hot either!!!! I have a brilliant supportive husband who does not go on appearence alone thank god not like some of you. What goes around comes around. If you want to swap lives please let me know. It costs £10 per hour for carers 12 hours a day 7 days a week . You work it out. The money is there for a reason.
