I know it's childish
But I can't help smiling when I see/hear/think of thr word 'mastication'.
I was leaving London and I was in a rush and in a bit of a bad mood (£1.99 for a sausage roll! which s why I went on a boiling hot 4 hour bus journey thirsty but with no water. I refused steadfast to pay £1.99 to take my ow money out of a cashpoint) and there was this woman shoutig an advertising slogan and giving out free samples of gum.
As much as I hate this kind of thing and wanted to spit at them I couldn't help by smile at the word 'mastication'.
You thoughts/feelings?

Re: I know it's childish
I would like to use this 'dud' thread to state that I have noticed that recently Aeros have shrunk considerably and been reshaped. I am not a fan.
they have become effeminate.

It's not as bad as buying a bag of ****ing crisps. The bag is like two foot tall and there are only crisps in the bottom three inches
Personally I'm always entertained by people who compare other people to Hitler.

What about people who compared people to a overly-surrealist version of Stalin?

I bet you've never read the fine print that says something to the effect of "Quantity measured by net weight, extra air in this packaging is to ensure product recieved undamaged"

Re: I know it's childish
I'm also annoyed as I have left another umbrella on the bus which is particularly annoying as I now have to use public transport and it's raining.

Well I've got nothing better to do and who would read my blog? At least here I have a guaranteed audience.

Re: I know it's childish
Dear diary,
last night I went out and got very drunk. It was fun. I think I had a lift home from my friends brother, but my memory is hazy. I had chips. they were nice. When I got home I took the covers off my quilt and put them back on, I don't know why. It was rather frusrating. I feel hungover and have to go drinking this afternoon for two of my friends birthdays so I might throw up on someone (hopefully someone I dislike) and it's raining very heavily and I have to walk in the rain becuase I left my umbrella on the bus again so I am going to get very wet. My little cousin has been moaning ALL morning because he can't go out in the rain even though he 'likes the rain! :crymeariver:'. It is not helping my hangover. I am so glad I have you so I share my deepest thoughts and feelings otherwise I would explode and kill lots and lots of people. <3

Re: I know it's childish
Okay then: I played Settlers II on the DOSBox emulator for 8 hours instead of sleeping. I feel like death. I was going to create a thread that started off on the philosophical stance between looking at the here and now, living every second for what it is as life really is that beautiful, or remembering the past for solace, and then suddenly turning it into a look at these DOS screenshots thread because no-one posts anything interesting anymore (except Dante who's been really quite humorous lately) but I didn't.

Bloody hell man, you had five pints, not exactly a session there.
And it was his girlfriend who give us a lift home, not sure why.

Yeah it was great Six months in London and it rained about twice, and not particularly heavily. The first days I am back in Wales for ages and it has pissed down on both of them. Makes a nice change. No wonder they keep imposing hosepipe bans heh.

Walkers actually said a few years ago "we either had to put up the price of crips or put less in them, so we decided to just put less in them as we didn't think customers would want to pay more per bag" or something.
I have to admit in recent crisp packets I've had a similar reaction to JBG

Re: I know it's childish
If you want more crisps in your crisp bag then just buy a bigger crisp bag, guys.

Re: I know it's childish
No, it's the crisp / bag ratio. half of the bag isn't actually used. In the current anti-packaging world, it could probably be almost half size, think about all the saved materials! The only problem then is they can't get all the big logos all over the bag..

Re: I know it's childish
To me mastication is all tongue and cheek.
Air in a a bag of crisps.....Shocker.
Maybe they should be vacum packed so they would not have to fill the bag with so much nitrogen to keep the crisp's fresh.
