congrats on passing. the only car im insured on is my mums (also aging) corsa but its good that hers can maintain some good speeds (for a 1.2) quite comfortably. But anything nearing 100mph makes it feel like a giant vibrator.

Yeah the one I drive is a 1.2 too. One of my mates has an (older) 1.2 that he owns and that has no problems - would happily zoom up the same incline in 5th without slowing so god only knows what my mum's done to that car.

One of my friends here at uni has a VERY old Nova which we managed to get to 110mph on the M1 with 4 people in it - it was like sitting on a washing machine during the drying cycle by that point
