Question Syrens?

I'm playing terran this round and I am sitting here asking myself, what the heck is the point of the syren this round? Having it target DE makes it rather redundant. Sure it has more firepower then the pheonix, but it get targeted by drakes and dragons, and having a high eta making it a much less valuable comodity. Last round the syrens servered a purpose when it targeted FR, but now this round it serves no purpose as far as I can see. Anyone else agree/disagree?

Re: Syrens?

it targets widowmaker, chimera & peacekeepers which both are anti BS ....

so it serves the same purpose like last round's syren just with switched classes

edit : forgot chimeras

Re: Syrens?

terran has a very nice attack fleet - just that they are no use for the alliance and cant hold their roids ....

Ok that makes sense I guess, but I've never seen multiclass attacks as a good idea. And last round when they targeted FR they were a useful defensive ship, at least in gal, this round they are only useful on attack (in theory anyway).

Terrans arent as good this round as they were last round.
( I wished the dragons werent under powered )
If you know how to use a terran fleet (faking de) it can be a nightmare and also act as a rather good def drain with fakes.
I once did 2 fakes before launching my actual fleet, It soaked up 18 def fleets.

When attacking xans the syrens keep your bs alive... if the xan chooses to keep in his pks (and lancers as they would be flak)
Syrens are good for ingal def aswell...ask any of my ingal caths.
the only time I would attack someone with pure bs is a zik.
