MOTD links open a new window
The title says it all really. It just tends to get a little annoying when I click a link to whatever from the MOTD on overview and it uses the window I am logged into PA on to open it. It wouldn't be hard to make a little change to make these links open in a new window and would make it much more convenient.

I agree, good idea. I'm always accidently closing the web browser thinking I'm closing the forums or something and having to log back into pa again. And it messes up the order on the taskbar when I have to do that

Yes, we realise this. The problem is that the message of the day is coded in BB script (or whatever it's called), and there's currently no setting to open links in new windows - this is already todo listed, but I'll nudge it up the order a bit.

middle click links in firefox. open in a new tab
or right click the link and open in new window that way

Yeah I know it is possible to make it open in a new window (holding shift while chicking also opens it in a new window) but if it doesn't require much work/effort then it would be nice to have it done. As it is in the dreaded to do list there it will probably be done sometime soon (before round 20 anyway )

never trust a link u havent placed yourself

so as u dont see if it opens in a new window before you click it but want to open it in a new window you could just select "open in a new window" to be on the secure side

at least that's what i do

firefox users can also hold down crtl to open a new tab, and both firefox and IE users can hit shift whilst clicking to open in new windows. heh.

Links should never be automatically opened in new windows. If I want a new tab or window, I'll open it myself.
