Planetarion Development Blog
Trialling this too. It may mean I do no actual development work any more, but we'll see.

Re: Planetarion Development Blog
Thats a really great opening post but remember.. You dont need to do that everytime you update it, afew lines at the end of the week would be good enough.. just saying what's happening or if anythings changed (like ETA's and problems you've encounted, or working on something different).
People just like to know that the PA Team is doing something, they dont need detailed explanations on every post.

Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

Re: Planetarion Development Blog
Why wasn't the main Planetarion portal used for it? Just seems a bit daft considering you really need some good reasons for people to visit the portal for news instead of going direct to the login page, now all the traffic will just go to some random blogspot site.
Anyway, it's nice to see it. Just a couple of paragraphs about something relevant at least once a week should be sufficient, it really doesn't have to take that long.

Re: Planetarion Development Blog
I would say its easy to use a dedicated blog page until the whole portal is sorted.

Even afterwards you could simply integrate that existing blogspot thing.

Re: Planetarion Development Blog
I'm still surprised no one has said tl;dr.
I kinda overdo things, but I was trying to baseline the current state. The others will be a lot shorter

Re: Planetarion Development Blog
Now we're missing an RSS feed, there isn't any way to comment directly on the posts either.

Re: Planetarion Development Blog
i believe most browsers will give you the rss button thingy when you load it. Also, i don't think that actually covers the dev blog, so i'm going to need to make a new one.

Re: Planetarion Development Blog
Exactly, it doesn't include the development blog.
At least use the vBulletin RSS Feed poster and get the announcements category back in action, along with the forum being opened allowing people to reply to it (but no new threads). This way it might get a bit more attention/discussion for those who like to talk about the game regularly - the forum regulars.
