The Rise And Dear Demise Of The Funky Nomadic Tribes
Thin Lizzy, from the Shades of a Blue Orphanage album.
Another few which springs to mind are...
ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayitsworldwouldfallapart
Manic Street Preachers, from The Holy Bible.
Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two of Us
My Chemical Romance - I Brought You My Bullets, You Bought Me Your Love
So guys, there are many weird and wonderful song titles around - I know Ste would know the MCR one and SYMM will know the MSP one but I'm betting there aren't many people on these forums who would know the Thin Lizzy one - the thread title...
Now is your chance to make sure those wierd and wonderful song titles are known to the masses. Well, GD at least.
Go go!

Re: The Rise And Dear Demise Of The Funky Nomadic Tribes
Good to know that if i ever need attention all i have to do is die
okay i believe you but my tommy gun dont
- Both by Brand New
Hey! Is That A Ninja Up There?
Hey, Wanna Throw Up? Get Me Naked
Absinthe Party At The Fly Honey Warehouse
Thanks For The Killer Game Of Crisco Twister
Damn Bugs Whacked Him, Johnny
- All by Minus the Bear
Holdalls is the new name for midland mainline lost property
- Mj Hibbert and the Validators
But if we're posting random songs and stuff I'm gonna post some lyrics because I've been wanting to for ages:
Quote:
My, brother, knows, Karl Marx,
He met him eating mushrooms in the peoples park,
He said 'What do you think about my manifesto?'
'I like a manifesto, put it to the test-o.'
Took it straight down to meet the anarchist's party.
I met a groovy guy, he was arty farty,
He said 'I know a little latin man a cus man a kai'
I said 'I don't know what it means' he said 'neither do I'
Eat natural foods, bathe twice daily,
Fill your nostrils up with gravy.
Don't drink tea and don't drink coffee.
Cover your chin in yorkshire toffee.
Dancing in the disco, bumper to bumber,
Wait a minute, where's me jumper, ( x4 )
Dancing at the disco, bumper to bumber,
Wait a minute, where's me jumper ? ( x5 )
Oh no.
Dancing at the disco, go, go, go.
Dancing at the disco, oh no, oh no, oh no.
Dancing at the disco, go, go, go.
Dancing at the disco, oh no, oh no.
It's alright to say things can only get better,
You haven't lost your brand new sweater.
I know I had it on when I had my tea,
And I'm sure I had it on in the lavatory.
Oh no.
Dancing in the disco, go, go, go.
Dancing in the disco, oh no, oh no.
Dancing in the disco, bumper to bumper,
Wait a minute, where's me jumper ? ( x5 )
It's alright to say things can only get better,
You haven't lost your brand new sweater.
Pure new wool, and perfect stitches,
Not the type of jumper that makes you itches
Oh no.
Dancing in the disco, go, go, go.
Dancing in the disco, oh no, oh no.
And my mother, will be so, so angry.
And my brother, will be so, so angry.
And my girlfriend, will be so, so angry.
And my dog, will be so, so angry.
Cos I was dancing at the disco, bumper to bumper.
Wait a minute, where's me jumper ( x5 )
Oh no !

Re: The Rise And Dear Demise Of The Funky Nomadic Tribes
Threads with titles unrelated to their content irritate me, so I'm going to post something actually relevant.
Quote:
Stone Age tribe kills fishermen
By Peter Foster in New Delhi
February 9, 2006
ONE of the world's last Stone Age tribes has murdered two fishermen whose boat drifted on to a desert island in the Indian Ocean.
The Sentinelese, thought to number between 50 and 200, have rebuffed all contact with the modern world, firing a shower of arrows at anyone who comes within range.
They are believed to be the last pre-Neolithic tribe in the world to remain isolated and appear to have survived the 2004 Asian tsunami.
The men killed, Sunder Raj, 48, and Pandit Tiwari, 52, were fishing illegally for mud crabs off North Sentinel Island, a speck of land in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands archipelago.
...
The Indian coast guard tried to recover the bodies using a helicopter but was met by a hail of arrows.

Re: The Rise And Dear Demise Of The Funky Nomadic Tribes
PJ harvey has a song called Sheela Na Gig, which is the name given to carvings (normally found on churches) of women 'pulling apart their vulva'.
The Locust are good for song names as well:
halo of pubic hair and earwax maufactured for the champion in all of us
23 lubed up schizophrenics with delusions of grandeur
late for a double date with a pile of atoms in the water closet
The average song-length of those is around 40 seconds as well

Re: The Rise And Dear Demise Of The Funky Nomadic Tribes
The Samuel Jackson Five - The Person Most Likely to Enjoy the Taste of Human Flesh - actually a really good band, that song is quite nice too.
"The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower" is another great bandname, along with "And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead".
Songtitles... I already mentioned the taste of human flesh one, so...
Hate This & I'll Love You
drown in the sea while watching the stars
i'm not deaf, i'm ignoring you
Only ones I could think of right now...
