American Game - NZ PS2
I have a trip to america(LA specifically)planned for the end of nov, and want to purchase some PS2 games over there, i am wondering about compatibility, i think US is PAL, while New Zealand is NTSC, but i want to make sure, will a US game work on a NZ PS2

I thought and I think I'm right that the UK is PAL and that US is NTSC (and france is some weird thing).

New Zealand is PAL.
The US is indeed NTSC.
France is SECAM.

(Not sure on the PS2 games thing - I'd imagine there would probably be some issues unless your PS2 is modified in some way)

New Zealand falls under SCEE (Europe), so SCEA (American) games won't work without modification on your PS2.
