My worst phone bill was in 93/94 (can't remember specifically) when I first started using BBS.

Our average quarterly bill had been about £20 (discount for light users, etc). The next one was £400 odd...

God the memories. I got given my own phoneline in my room about 3 years ago for Christmas, the first bill arrives and I had managed to spend over £200 heh, few months later then the next quarter bill arrives and it has gone up. I thought I had cut back but noooo. After that it was disconnected :/ Too many calls to mobiles and on the internet(was still on pay per minute).

I was forced to pay it was well

When my mum got our 'new and improved' phone bill of around 300 pounds she started calling all the numbers to work out what had been going on. When she got a modem tone, she called BT and told them it was all fraud.

How I laughed. Until she found out the truth that is.

Back when flatrate internet access wasn't possible and I was playing PA and other games all the time I managed to get a 420 pound (600 euro) phone bill for one month

I work with a guy who clocks up £400 bills every month, and I regularly deal with customers with bills that go into the thousands. Then again, I do work in London so its not surprising, heh.
