Invoices...
Never having needed to write one, I find myself at a lose when someone wants me to send them an invoice.

Is there a obvious way of doing it? One of you peeps must do it all the time, what details do I need to put down?

Just put the dates you worked, your NI number, the pay you received, your name, address, contact details.

It's basically just so they have a record of how much they paid/have to pay you, mostly for record and tax purposes. Don't sweat over making it neat - if they need specific details you haven't given, they'll ask.
