Yes it is. Being ignorant of Schopenhauer is not as bad as, say, not knowing what two plus four is, but it's still ignorance all the same. (Although I wouldn't really criticise someone for not knowing who Schopenhauer was.)

Ive read that "Pain of the world" book which i am sure that the title in engish is something else, because i did a rough translation from portuguese....
it was pretty kelw and basicaly he said that men suck because they are always wanting things and this brings suffering, in a budhist kind of way...
