Note my wording.
Of course it's a subjective comment, but it's backed up by better arguments than 'R2D2 is great, shut up' which is all that springs to mind in defence of the dialogue on the quintology. Just because saying star wars has good dialogue isn't objectively wrong, doesn't mean it isn't a bloody stupid comment.

Re: Your top 5 films
I didn't like the original Scarface that much. Interesting to watch though.
Which audio did you hear Toccata? The Stephen Fry ones are supposed to be quite good...

Better than getting 'Blazin' Squad' over the audio book.

Maybe I'm being blind, but I couldn't find where he said who the narrator was for the version he got. There have been other audio books, not done by Stephen Fry.

I was commenting more upon the reason why he said he didn't like it.

i reccomend the IMDB boards for it. there is a topic which goes roughly thus:
"This is fukken crap!1 why would any1 watch this when amercan pie is out on DVD? thsi film is shit!"
conclusion: IMDB should be nuked from orbit.

You said : 'dude, "star wars has shit dialogue" isn't exactly a milestone in subjectivity here.'
You then went on to list some other subjective (although uncontroversial) statements. Just because I happen to think it's true, or you think it's true or the Bob the ****ing Builder agrees is utterly irrelevent.

* solaris - the remake. **** you.
* true romance - although i cant remember it now.
* the film that was made by someone famous that had a whole animated scene of someone injecting drugs with handdrawn images of blood dancing and having sexual intercourse with other in an abstract manner. set in america on the road. possibly.
