No Dachi is infamous around these parts
Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Having already turned to begin walking to the ship as Fluffie asked for a few coins spare, Marcus again reached into his pocket, and pulled the remaining coins out before scrutinising them as they lay on the palm of his hand. Credits were the universal currency, but how exactly they were patterned depended entirely on which mint they came from. In his hand were two 1 Credit Asanwa coins - presumably dating from before the Clan's brave destruction at the hands of the Deovrans - with the face of the Shogun whose name he himself had just been called by printed on one side; next to them was a single five Credit Kiperial coin, with the face of Dark Lord Fluffie on its own face; and next to them lay a two Credit coin from Amazon territory - or so Marcus was inclined to believe, since it featured Phineas Bogg's face. Bogg...why did that name sound familiar? Ah yes, Philicia Bogg, one of the Bank's debtors. Marcus vaguely recalled cleavage - which Lucan, the Bank's late accountant, had doubtless enjoyed; he was dead now, which was conveniant in a rather macabre way since his job wasn't cost-effective and Marcus hadn't had the heart to sack him. Marcus was the Bank's sole employee now, unless you counted the crew as security staff...Marcus briefly considered attempting to apply for some kind of tax rebate along these lines before deciding the slight profit gain he would make was probably not worth the risk of investigation and imprisonment. At that moment, he realised he was still standing and still staring at the coins in his hand. Bringing himself to his senses, Marcus tossed the Amazonian coin and the Kiperial coin to Fluffie.

"I don't think interest on this loan will really be necessary," He said, pocketing the No Dachi coins - having a few spare Credits on one's person was never a bad idea, in his view, "nor even repayment. Enjoy the coffee. See you on the outside, Fluffie." With that, Marcus left the tranquil little enclosure that was the Ankaan coffe shop and returned to the heaving mass of pedestrians making their way across the hallway's deck. He paused to one side of the entrance to the enclosure, looking first to the right, then to the left, as he tried to remember which way he'd come from. After a few moments he set off, walking down the length of corridor to the left, back toward the mission room, from where finding his way back to the hangar that the Fortuna was birthed in would be relatively easy. Marcus fell into the line of people moving along one side of the hallway's floor in the same direction as he - like some drop of water trickling into a powerful river - and matched their pace roughly, since trying to push through them would be fruitless, and since he had plenty of time. Presently, he found himself walking back across the floor of the mission room, the faces staring up at those boards had changed, by now, with those already having taken contracts already left - to their ships or to the station. Marcus turned right in the room's centre and began walking toward the open bulkhead door that led into a wide corridor beyond. As he continued walking, Marcus produced a pen from his pocket. Making sure the nib was not out, Marcus placed the righting end against his wrist and pressed down. The lower part of the pen slid upwards into the other section, untill it dissapeared completely, leaving what appeared to be a simple, gleaming metallic cylinder. This done, Marcus pressed down on the pen's clip, and held it up toward his mouth.

"Come in Fortuna, this is Marcus," He said, turning right off of the thronging main corridor and into an elevator - just in time, the doors slid silently shut behind him a second after he entered. "Is Alanna on the bridge?"

"Yes, sir," Lora, the Fortuna's Coms Officer, replied over the pen, "putting you through to the Lieutenant now, sir, hold for a second." As the ship's only qualified coms operator, Lora was probably bored stiff. Regulation - as well as common sense - dictated that there had to be at least one coms operator on board a ship at any one time while it was docked with a large station such as Ankaa, to maintain traffic with Station Control. Most of it was, of course, hideously boring routine checks and acknowledgements. Still, hopefully he'd find something for the girl to do out on this next mission...

"Sir," Alanna's voice said, also over the pen - the thing gave and excellent signal, considering. "Station Control forwarded the details of the mission to us. Lorgan Deus, sir, has got three ships, and we only have one. As I've told you more than once before, sir, we don't have a battleship and we can't win contracts like this indefinitely-" Marcus cut his No1 off just as the elevator doors slid open in front of him. He stepped out into a much narrower corridor beyond. To his left was a wall, to his right the corridor stretched out, seemingly into gleaming gunmetal infinity - the natural curvature of the station carried the floor up out of sight beyond the roof passed a certain distance. Marcus set off down the corridor. Through portholes set into the wall on his right, he could see the interior of one of the huge capital ship hangars - there was currently a light cruiser of some description berthed there; the ship - which was of considerable size - dwarfed by the immensity of the hangar that house it.

"There won't be any trouble, Alanna," He replied, trying to remember how far it was to his ship; the smaller hangars, suitable for smaller capital classes - like destroyers - were berthed right at the end of the huge hangar arms. "Deus is a pirate, and an unnaffiliated one. He only has three ships. Three small ships - and besides which, I found us a friend." Alanna was an excellent No1, but too cautious to like the plans Marcus came up with, half of the time. In a way of course this was a good thing, because he wasn't the most experienced starship commander in the galaxy...

"Another freelancer, sir?" Asked Alanna by way of reply.

"Indeed," Marcus answered, "one Lieutenant Commander Solo - alias Fluffie. I passed a coffee with the man, seems to know his business pretty well, seemed like a trustworthy character too. Ship's a destroy, Alanna. Two destroyers against an esort carrier and a couple of police cruisers." He could just about make out the end of the corridor up ahead - the Fortuna's hangar was accessed through a door just in front of the corridor's terminus and to the right.

"Well...fair is fair, I suppose, sir." Alanna said in turn - and Marcus could tell she was already running the battle to come through her mind, now with an extra destroyer in play. She'd seen a lot of space battles, after all. "I assume you'll want me to send out the Recall Signal?"

"At once, if you please," He replied. That was the signal that would call all the crew on shore leave back to the Fortuna. "And tell Steiner to get the engines running, I'll want to be leaving in short order. See you face to face in just a moment." He finished, before quickly lifting his thumb off of the pen's clip, ending the communication. Alanna had been trained by, and earned her strips in, the Federation Navy; and was a stickler for regulation because of it. Cutting the conversation short before she had time to acknowledge the orders would cause her no end of irritation, which in turn would cause Marcus no end of amusement. He ran an informal ship. Marcus came to the end of the corridor, and, facing the narrow, heavy steel door into the hangar, hammered the keycode given to him by Station Control into a number-lock to the door's right. An audible tone resonated from the lock pad, and the door slid open with a hiss. Marcus Ascares stepped through the open doorway, onto a raised steel walkway running around three edges of the hangar - the fourth edge occupied entirely by the gigantic main door to the station's exterior. He could see a number of crewmen on the deck far below, loading crates manually through the Fortuna's open cargo bay door. Marcus paused for a moment, leaning slightly over the railings, to admire his destroyer - she was a beauty, and no mistake. An old ship, Marcus had refitted her extensively in order for her to be up to combat standard - but it was worth every penny. All the functionality of a modern warship for all the curvature and looks of an old-world ship. It certainly helped the ship's appearance that the crew seemed to be obsessed with keeping her exterior completely clean and gleaming. Marcus wasn't sure why. He got different answers depending on which officer he asked - Alanna said it was because they wanted it to look rich in accordance with its name; Kyrrick claimed it was down to superstition among merchantmen crews that clean ships didn't get wrecked; Tashida Iyoda claimed it was because the men did not want their honour tarnished by a dirty warship - Marcus didn't know a lot about Bushido, but he was reasonably sure that dirty warships weren't mentioned anywhere in its texts, and so he assumed that was a Clan thing as much as an honour thing. Marcus stepped smartly down the steel stairwel leading down to the hangar floor - it bent back under itself several times to save space, though there was not shortage of that in the hangar - and once there made his way toward the ship, greeting the crewmen loading crates as he went past them.

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Nodding his thanks for the coins, because, after all, Mr. Fluffie was a polite man, he wondered why he had been given them. He knew he had used the word "lend" and that the man was a banker... Or at least, that's what his brains kept telling them, he had read something about a new bank offering loans etc to freelancers, much like himself. A loan would've probably made Fluffie's ship less crappy, but he and his friends didn't really like being in debt. They had received money from others before, but that was usually because of services rendered and thus really just the pay for a day of hard working.

He had gotten this for free though, which, regardless of the feeble amount, was utterly cool. Also a small bit of a shame, now he wouldn't be putting his excellent convincing skills to use. Maybe for the better, the poor girl wouldn't know what happened to her the morning after... Tee hee, oh yeah. Fluffie remembered that one time, on Kribibrililimlim li V. They had gotten theirselves kicked off the planet shortly after though, but that night was.... special. He wondered what had become of that girl, she had quite the... voice... for high tones, or at least, that's what Fluffie remembered. The girl could've become a star, so he really should find out some time soon.

But that was all for moments to come. For the moment, Fluffie finished his coffee and took enough time to intensely enjoy it. With a smile on his face, he got up afterwards and approached the counter, asking for two cups to take with him, so he could have a decent coffee on his destroyer, along with his Wookiee friend. The other would certainly know how to enjoy it too, it was a passion they both shared. The credits given by his partner were sufficient and not much later, Mr. Solo was casually strolling down the corridors of Ankaa station, making his way back to his destroyer.

Finding himself in an elevator some time after having started his journey back, Fluffie reflected parts of his past... His sexuality had immensely changed after having met up with his current AI. Charlotte, Roxanne... Or however she decided to call her at that very moment, she was one twisted lady. She had always been, but only after Fluffie and the Wookiee tried to update her with some... erh... special software, had she changed, according to the Wookiee for the worst. Would she have been human, her sex drive would've been tremendous. More than tremendous, gigantic, a never ending hunger for satisfaction.

Fluffie found himself lucky she did not have a body. Her influence on him was noticable. He had done things he wouldn't have done if he had never met her. But it was all in good fun, he guessed. The Wookiee was the sensible person, he usually kept everyone in line. Most people seemed to listen to him too... The furry one claimed it was because of his obvious superior intellect, (the then called) Lotte and Fluffie had decided it was because he was utterly big and had a terror inflicting hair-do.

D I N G G G zzz CHKKK

With a sound implying this part of the station needed [some/a lot of] maintenance, the elevator arrived at the deck Fluffie needed to be on. The outskirts of the station, the parts where only the very poor, the disliked, the real criminals, the do-ers of evil and their counterparts, the broken-hearted and the boys and girls fleeing from something terrible would go. Stepping outside holding the bag with the two cups of coffee reasonably close to his body, he looked around. Looked clear, no vile persons around to try and “liberate” his coffee from him in a certainly most unpleasant fashion.

And that, that was good. Confident again, he stepped around and turned, walking down the hallway leading to the rather large and fairly empty hangar where his ship would hopefully still be. His thoughts dwelled around, going from sandy and tropical beaches to the game of lunar football he once played. So, generally not paying attention to his surroundings, he made a little hop that would’ve made most ballerines jealous when he suddenly heard a beeping sound behind him.

Doing the natural thing as soon as his feet touched the ground again (the natural thing being thinking that there’s a Mark IV “Pidgeon” Homing Missile with a Mini-Nuke Warhead coming for you), Fluffie let himself fall to the floor, knowing this was one of the few tricks to trick the Missile into flying past you and hitting something else instead. Once on the floor, Fluffie kept his eyes closed real tight, hoping not to have them burned out by the jet engine screaming past.......

But nothing happened. Carefully looking up and about, he did see a droid though. A vaguely familiar droid... Or.. Hmmm..

Beepety Beep Meep WOOOOOO [get up you damn fool.]

It was his droid. By the love of all that is holy and beautifull, Fluffie mentally held his heart before asking the question...

“You been drinking again?”

WOOOO Bee-ee-eep Beep Beeeeep [shut up or i’ll hit you, woman!]

Fluffie cried on the inside. The droid was really a nice fellow, but he had a little problem when it came to alcohol... R2 (sorry to all you Star Wars fanatics ) just couldn’t stop and it changed him entirely. In a bad way. And his hang-overs weren’t pretty either, but luckily he didn’t have them much. They had a ship to fly, oh, right about in just a few seconds though, and the droid was the pilot. Drunk. Pilot. Drunk, not sober, pilot. Ship, dents. Money, paint. Bad.

Mr. Fluffie softly whispered to himself, crying even more on the inside.

“Crap****.”

Beep beep meep? [carry me home bitch, the station’s gravity stuff is ****ing with me again]

“Walk yourself or I’ll kick you.”

MEEP [what?!]

For as far as possible, the droid tried to alter his body language to look as angry, strong and menacing as humanly, or perhaps droidedly, possible. Fluffie wasn’t impressed, he had seen it all before.

“I’m bigger than you, remember?”

Beep [fine.]

Without another sound, R2 started rolling back to the ship. Fluffie followed him, happy, ‘cause now he wouldn’t have to think too much about finding the way back. It took some time, for the droid seemed to wa... roll around in circles a bit, but eventually, they arrived at the hangar, where there ship, which if looked at from a certain angle resembled an Alpaca, still was.

The droid raced on inside, but Fluffie’s attention was caught by something in the hangar. A small amount of people standing together, just hanging around, talking to each other and doing other such things that people do when they are together in an empty hangar, standing next to a destroyer that could’ve looked quite pretty, should it have had a Impulse-Slipstream setup, amongst other things.

Peculiar about these people was though, that Fluffie seemed to recognise them. And they all seemed to be wearing some sort of uniform, which was partially light blue. It immidiately made Fluffie think about how it would look on a female, or more precisely, an attractive not too old female’s body. The curves, the smoothness, the near silk-touch of the fabrics.....

WHAM

Fluffie nearly again let himself fall to the floor, fearing the Missile had found him again. It hadn’t though. Instead, he heard his Wookiee roar as it stormed outside, chasing after the droid he had just thrown out. Wookiees didn’t really mix with drunk droids who were supposed to fly the ship they were on, especially if they were the Engineer on it. Using his furr to sense the subtle disturbances in the air when Fluffie was around, the Wookiee roared again, calling Fluffie to help him sober up the droid.

Getting up again, he was naturally happy to oblige, for a sober pilot was more inclined to fly safely than a drunken pilot. And in busy traffic areas such as Ankaa, safe was fun! Running over, he saw his furry friend had brought the required wrench to sober up their droid. The method always seemed rude and unfriendly to anyone who’d watch (and there were some new crewmembers watching now), but it was the most effective one.

RO ROA ROAR [one, two... three!]

MEEP MEEP [i’ll crash you good, crash you good!]

RoaarrrrrRRR [can’t crash if you ain’t got a face, now can you?]

Eeeeepp! [not my face! not the face!]

Fluffie held on to R2’s wheels, preventing him to ru.. roll away scared, the wrench swinging around furiously, just inches above his head. They could see the fear grow in the droid’s eye.. sensors and thus, they kept on going, soberness was near. Fear always helped sobering up a droid, you just had to reach and then cross the treshhold, it caused the entire drunk-protocols on droids, or at least, this one to reset and load up a fresh sheet.

MRROOOAAAAARRR [not just the face, your spleen too!]

Eeeeeeeeeppppp [nooooooooooooo]

Click.

Fluffie and the Wookiee let go of their droid and stepped aside, beckoning the public to step aside too. Once R2 would get out of his reboot cycle, he’d run away fast, to his quarters, to contemplate what he had been doing. Nasty moments in his life and sadly, frequent ones too. Fluffie raised his shoulders and told the bystanders to carry on. They shrugged, look at each other and then did so, deciding obeying their new captain would probably be best. Walking away and continueing what they had been doing earlier (just about nothing), Fluffie wondered who they were again........

But that was a matter for later occassions. Right now, there was something important to do. He grabbed the Wookiee’s arm and dragged him along, to where he had dropped the coffee, the real coffee, at the earlier WHAM. Taking both, still hot, cups out of the plastic bag like a child happily unwrapping a present he just knows to be mega-cool, the expression on the Wookiee’s face changed to a similar one. Roaring with utmost pleasure, he took his cup and took a sip...

Purrrrr [good coffee dude.]

“Aye. Got it from a new friend, our partner for this mission.”

Roarrry [sweetness. i’ll check the mission in a bit. good money?]

“Good’nuff to buy us some decent equipment I guess. Not too dangerous either.”

Nodding approvingly, they finished their coffee in silence. Knewing Fluffie probably wouldn’t be doing anything of importance untill the real take-off, the Wookiee was about to go inside. Fluffie saw this coming and grabbed hold of his arm again, getting his attention.

“Who are those people again?”

heh-roar-heh [our crew fool. be nice to’em.]

“Heh, k.”

With a single nod at each other, the Wookiee left and Fluffie took another good look at those uniformed people. They look capable, but not veteran or elite... Probably for the better, those types usually were pretty cocky to people they didn’t know. He walked over and introduced himself, telling them he was glad to have them aboard and that he hoped they’d have many successes together. Making sure they wouldn’t be late at lunch and dinner and so on, he told them the Wookiee was an excellent cook, but that his coffee, while good, was lacking from the real thing.

“And don’t forget, we’ll be launching soon. I need a shower though, see you guys later.”

Walking away, he hoped he had left a good impression. A good impression meant they’d work harder and possibly clean better too.... He wondered how they’d react to having to clean the ship and make it shiny later on. He knew he wouldn’t like it, so his guess was they wouldn’t like it either.

But anyhow, he needed a shower first. Entering his ship by walking up the ramp into the cargobay, he looked around as he went. There seemed to be enough supplies on board and there were some guys in light blue checking if there were indeed. Nodding at them he carried on, heading to where he though his quarters were supposed to be. And, lucky as he sometimes was, they were where they were supposed to be. Opening his doors, he immidiately wondered if there was something wrong with the lights inside. Stepping inside, he heard the doors close too fast.

And close too fast they did, accompanied by female laughter. Forcing him to fall forward and tearing his clothes off at the same time, he did manage to stop himself from falling on the floor. Instead though, he accidently pushed himself off from the table and stumbled into the bathroom, ending up falling after all, in the shower cubicle. There still was female laughter in the background, almost as if it were omnipresent.

”Hello Fluffie.”

“Lotte...?”

”You still now my name after all those...”

The shower turned itself on. Instead of the usual first few drops of cold water, it immidiately was of a most pleasant temperature, causing Fluffie to worry immensely, because he had recognised his sex-obsessed AI Lotte in the voice.

”The water good for you, dear?”

He could either try to flee now and try another shower somewhere on the ship, but since she was integrated into it, that seemed rather... futile. So, up for another act of sexual intimidation, he could do nothing but endure.

”What, you’re not even going to say my name now...?”

Silence was Fluffie’s answer. He tried to enjoy the soothing water, when suddenly the lightbulb above him seemed to short circuit, sending a small amount of glass flying everywhere, but somehow missing him.

”Sorry ‘bout that.. But you know.. I like it rough..”

Lotte giggled a bit. Fluffie looked up worriedly, the were some sparks coming from where the lightbulb had been earlier. She probably had camera’s everywhere, for somehow Lotte took notice of his looking up.

”Oh don’t worry, you know I wouldn’t waste a... specimen... such as you.”

The spray of sparks did grow larger though, connecting with the water too. His body tensed as he was expecting shock, but instead... He started giggling.

“Lotte... Hee hee.. That.. Hee.. Tickles..”

”I know. Like it?”

“Hee hee.. No.. Hee..”

Fluffie should’ve known lying would’ve only made it worse. ‘cause it became worse. Though not necesarily worse in the bad sense of the word.

But that, boys and girls, would be pushing the limit. I’ve tried to comply with LH’s desire to make the AI sexually obsessed etc, but I’m not going to write “naughty literature” here.

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Ah, Ms Bogg, I beleive...

*Cid had not improved much over the many years, scars of old battles seemed to be visible on one arm, the other looking fresh and normal. He looked 35, despite being little over 70 in age and, in truth, he had the biology of a 35 year ld. Many years of Kylihtium testing had made Shraan renowned for their surviving and making them triple their lifespans at the cost of having their scars of old stay their for life, no matter how small the cut. He looked scruffy, but at least he made sure he was clean-shaven unlike what he was a god forty years back.*

I take it you wonder why I am here, no doubt, but I have a little information and advice on our current mission. Please, take a seat, you may want to note some of this down somewhere...

*Cid waited for Phelicia Bogg to be seated before continuing.*

The ships we are after will be heavy hard to destroy since they are using a Shraan-based technology known as Kylithium, making their weapons and sheild power a lot more powerful. This is a technology the Shraan people would not like seen in the hands of people like Lady Death. As well as this, we want that ship disabled but intact enough to claim rather than turning it into a fireball or sending it's part into orbit. This also means that Lady Death is a high priority to capture and interrogate over how she came into possession of our technology.

*Cid watched this Phelicia with interest, hoping she was not fully like her all-out pirate father.*

I take it your crew or family friends may still have the... 'rubble' I gave your father way back...

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Phelicia ground her teeth at being offered a seat in her own office on her own ship, but she did it without letting anyone notice it. She quickly grabbed one of the pile of anti-stress balls on her desk and started to squeeze it.

Phelicia Bogg: "I prefer to stand at the moment. Commander Argyle here will take the necessary notes."

* Commander Argyle immediately produced a datapad and started taking down the things that were said, while Phelicia listened to what other things this curious captain Killer had to say. When the subject of Kylithium was raised, her left eye started to twitch and a careful observer might have noticed that the knuckles of the hand that clutched the anti-stress ball were going white.

Phelicia Bogg: "I'm... afraid not... You see, not long ago, my, ehhh... dear father (the words were spoken with some hesitation, but with visible contempt), had some dealings with a band of thugs that were led by, ummm... some woman. I don't remember her name, she was using a different name almost every other day, probably some identity crisis or something. Anyway, their payment would be in gold, but in an attempt to double-cross them, my father and brother took the Kylithium ore, covered it with goldpaint and paid them with that instead of real gold. He was quite proud of it too. By the time I found out what he'd done, it was too late."

* There was a meaningful silence that said more than a hundred words could before Phelicia forced a wan smile on her face and spoke again.

Phelicia Bogg: "Anyway, let's not dwell on the past. I assume you're here to discuss tactics and to negotiate the way we split the spoils. I'm not an unreasonable woman, captain Killer, we both seem to be bringing in the same amount of firepower, so I propose we both get an equal share. I'm not the idi... individual that my father was and I do know the value of Kylithium. I too, would like to get my hands on some of that Kylitihum enhanced technology. As for this so called 'Lady Death'; I have no interest in her, you may to her as you will as long as it doesn't interfere with getting our reward for her."

* When she judged she had been standing long enough so as not to appear to do so on Killer's invitation, she sat down behind her desk folding her hands together.

Phelicia Bogg: "There is however one other thing that concerns me. I was informed that there will be third ship, called The Trinidad, coming along. Now, frankly, I don't like the idea of sharing, but he seems to have a pretty fast ship and I think we're going to need his help. Of course, after the objectives have been accomplished, the two of us could always 'take care' of that litle problem, right?"

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

As much as I used to... Take care of the problems your father's problems. Phineas had his times, I must admit.

*Cid pulled out a datapad from his pocket and placed it on the desk.*

Okay, that we shall leave aside until the time is right. Messing with faster ships can be tricky, especially if they could outrun us. At this time let us concentrate on a battleplan of sorts. We are dealing with a light cruiser and two attack destroyers, obviously this means we have the upper hand with the size and armament front. But regardless of size, their weapons would be enhanced two-fold at least, three-fold if they have gathered Shraan Remnant's scientific notes. One superweapon hit on any of our hulls can rip us apart within seconds if we are not careful enough.

*The datapad shone and suddenly a small hologram of 6 ships appared, three on each side.*

The best way we can win this fight is to blow the two attack destroyers first and then concentrate on disabling the light cruiser. Naturally I will be sending this battleplan to the Captain Inspectre once I board the Levelant. The best way to deal damage to Attack craft is using fighters to draw whatever firepower they have away from us.

*The image on the datapad showed fighters suddenly heading out to the destroyers and demonstrated them drawing enemy firepower.*

When it comes to the cruiser, I guess a superweapon would be useful to take out the sheilds and then send boarding parties in to take the ship over completely. According to my Tactics AI, this has a 90% more chance of victory than any other plan it has been trying to make. What do you say, Captain Bogg?

* Phelicia took up the datapad and studied it, before passing it on to commander Argyle. He read it over, handed it back to her and nodded approvingly.

Phelicia: "Yes, we approve of your plan, however I do wish to point out to you that this ship doesn't carry any weaponry other than the latest installments in AMD and AFD technology. What do have though, includes a vast amount of fighters, well trained troops and an assault shuttle for boarding parties. If you can prevent the attack destroyers from taking us on directly, I'm sure our fighters can take care of them before they become too big a threat. Also, if it can be done, I would like us to capture those attack destroyers intact; according to the reports, they too appear to be enhanced with Kylithium, but even if they are not, they're still worth a small fortune. Speaking of fortunes, captain Killer, since you are unwilling to make any commitments regarding the way the spoils will be split between us, I hope you will at least vouch that we shall not be treated unfairly when it comes to sharing? Of course, we shall gladly do the same for you."

* Phelicia smiled.

Phelicia: "One more thing before you go. I trust that you will inform me of any 'arrangements' that you might make with the captain of The Trinidad, yes? Good, then if you'll excuse me, I have some last things to see to before we leave and I'm sure that such a busy man as yourself has too. Oh, I wish you good hunting, captain Killer."

*Cid nodded to Argyle and Phelicia before turning and walking out the office. He tapped his right ear and kept his singer near the lower lobe for a while.*

Cid: Kosaga, meet me at the Levelant's hangers, I'm on my way back now. Oh, and get a communications link-up ready for transmissions to the Trinidad. Get the helm to get the jump co-ords and begin FTL procedures ready for when I get there. I want the ship ready and waiting.
Kosaga: -Yes sir, will make sure these orders are carried out
Cid: I'll be there in ten.

--Ten minutes Later--

*Cid walked into the bridge with a smile on his face.*

Cid: Okay, send the hail to the Trinidad now.
Comms: Aye, sir.

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Personal Log of Exarch Tsarich.

Date: Unknown.
Location: Starship Dagger's Touch (Cruiser Class), Ankaa Starbase

Begin log...

Its been two months since we arrived at this... strange place. In that time we've managed to ... aquire transportation. We spent some time observing the many races that call this part of space thier home. Of these, a race that call themselves 'human' seem to be the most abundant, although we have yet to confirm that fact, as there are many other reported races. Alot of these, though, seem to have a taste for killing and their favourite target seems to be these 'humans'.

So far we've avoided making contact as much as possible, but soon we will be forced to. Our supply's aboard are starting to dwindle and from our research and observations, we have determined the currency of this place, of which we have none. At the suggestion of the ship board AI, I have decided upon our next course of action. We have recently arrived at the "Show-off Space Station" of Ankaa. Here, mercenaries, hired ships, men with little loyalty and trust, are paid to undertake missions. Some of these missions seem rather... dangerous and suicidal. Others are ... 'easy money', as the humans say.

Log Ends.

The Exarch looked up from his computer terminal, as a red light flashed on the desk. His room was dark, as was pretty much the entire ship. It seemed more like home that way. Turning from his personal log, Tsarich flicked a switch on the desk.

"We've recieved confirmation from the station of our mission Exarch. We'll be recieving more information shortly. Are you sure this is wise?"

"We have no choice. Just make sure all the filters are working. We don't want to reveal our precence. Someone might get the wrong idea."

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Alex was fiishing his waffles when General Zeth Pike in. He was an intidating figure stading 6' 5". He was well ripped, and he had bright red hair but somehow a natural brown beard. This had puzzled Alex ever scince they met eight years ago. Alex put aside his plate as he prepared to berate someone who had the most power in Alex's little fleet, and could make it his little fleet in a few hours. This will not be fun Alex thought to himself.

"General, I thank you for your dedication to the troops. However when i go to a station i wan't you to accompany me. You werne't at the air lock this morning were you?" Alex started.

"No I wasn't, Sir" Thank goodness for military programing Alex though," It is just that Yellow Hawks aren't a cohesive unit yet and I was drilling them against the Green Condors in the aft cargo bay. There is no excuse, Sir." The General rammbeled off as if he had been practicning it on his way there.

" Well how was the drill then?"Alex asked quaintly.

"The Hawks are a decent unit, I wouldn't trust them with a primary objective. There useable though." The General responded apprasinly.

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

* When Cid Killer had left, Phelica turned to commander Argyle and with a rather angry voice said: "Bring me Alizandro and then tell Igor to report to my office in 10 minutes. He will need to treat Alizandro."

No1: "But Alizandro is fine, isn't he?"
Phelicia: "Not in 10 minutes he won't. Now get to it and then see to it that we all the necessary fuel and supplies are on board. I want to be ready to leave before Killer is, understand?"
No1: "Yes captain!"

* When she was left to herself, Phelicia was still squeezing the anti-stress ball, while staring at the window and mumbling: "'Take a seat' may I? 'Take a seat' may I? 'Take a seat.' 'Take a seat.' Take..." At that point Alizandro bounced into the room like a happy puppy. Alizandro was, in many ways, the exact opposite of Phelicia; he was a kind and caring person that would do almost everything he was asked to do without thinking. He didn't think a lot, but when he did think, his thoughts were usually along the lines of 'Oooh, what a nice shiny wobbly thing!' or 'Ohooooh, what a pretty colour!'. Despite being several years older than Phelicia, he was nearly a whole foot shorter than here. Basically, he was almost like a child with one major exception; he displayed the same, if not worse, ual drive as his father did. This made him very popular with some of the female crewmembers.

Phelicia: "Take a seat."

* Alizandro jumped up and landed onto the swivelchair on that had previously been occupied by captain Killer and made it spin around really fast.

Phelicia: "Take a seat."
Alizandro: "I am seated."
Phelicia: "Take a seat."

* Alizandro waved his hands before Phelicia's eyes who was startled and then he said to her in a jovial way: "You take a seat, haha!" Phelicia slowly turned her head and looked at him with burning rage in her eyes. Her left eye was starting to twitch again and some of the more pronounced veins could be seen throbbing.

* When Alison left her office several minutes later, there was a bald, pale man with a hunch and scars everywhere waiting for her outside. He was carrying a medkit.

Phelicia: "Ahh, Igor. You're right on time. He's on the floor and he's unconscious, but that should only facilitate your work. I'm needed on the bridge right now, but I trust you will take good care of him. Good day."

* Igor said: "Yes, ." and then he hopped over to the unconscious body in what to outsiders might consider to be a most peculiar way, but was the only possible way for Igor.

* When she reached the bridge of the ship, Phelicia immediately walked to her command chair and, with a thoughtful smile that was perhaps a little broader than stricly necessary, she took a seat.

Phelicia: "What's our status, commander?"
No1: "All systems are operational, we're fully resupplied and all crewmembers have been accounted for, captain!"
Phelicia: "Very good, detach us from the space station and send word to our... companions that we are ready."

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

*Cid waited for the hail to be answered and then shrugged.*

Cid: Looks likw they aren't going to respond after all. Alright, we leave them here. We cannot wait much longer. Opicos, you got the FTL co-ords set?
Helm: Aye, sir.
Cid: Then let us get ready to launch into FTL space.
SO: Sir, I beleive Bogg's ship has only just departed from the station.
Cid: We can't keep waiting like this. We will be the first there as we have a larger battle-ready ship. She has a lot of fighters and is only capable of defending itself. We will go in and get ready in order to protect Bogg's ship from more damage then neccessary.

*The bridge was quiet for a while before Kosaga coughed politly behind him.*

Kosaga: A bold statement, sir, but we can't go until you give the order.
Paladin: I've got the co-ords, just waiting to be corrected twice by you before we head out...
Cid: -Sigh- Alright, lets make the jump.

*Cid sat down on his comfy swivle chair that overlooked the rest of the bridge ahead of him. It was a long bridge with two floors. The top floor containing Cid's chair, Kosaga's chair and an overlooking aisle that headed towards the front veiwscreens. The bottom floor contained all the officer's stations as well as golding all the vending machines. Cid watched as the Faster-Then-Lightspeed drives kicked in and sent the Levelant into FTL space.*

Helm: 900 Lightyears distance, approximate ETA: one hour, fifteen minutes.
Cid: Good, Kosaga, take over until we are approximatly twenty minutes from our destination. Send all communications to my office also, I'll be in their.
Kosaga: More studying?
Cid: Not really, but I need some time to eat and relax.

*Cid stood up and turned around towards the auto-lift. Cid had always foudn the auto-lift useful, seeing as it expanded all the way to the engineering levels at the back end of the ship. It also stopped just outside his office, just outside the mess hall and was the only way to reach the observation deck on the lower floors. After a two minute wait, Cid left the auto-lift and walked into his office and sat down calmly in his chair and looked around for a while.*

*It was here Cid could really relax, models of Shraan warships and pictures of the Shraan Heros, or at least the ones that are part of the Remnant now, scattered the walls as well as a large purple-pink crystal that sat in a glass cabanet to one side, surrounded by articles and scientific studies of the crystal, known only as Kylithium. He was unsure where his supply went, most of it was ordered from him, as well as his old ships, for the 'Protection and Growth of the Shraan Remnant'.*

*After a while Cid was already closing his eyes and dozing off to a nap-like slumber.*

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

*Flapjack came onto the bridge as they approached the third waypoint, they where almost 100 lightyears out now and had only 1 last jump to go as they emerged from their linear jump, almost immediatly alarms started blaring as the ship got ripped from its jump, rather then slowing down normally the ship literally screeched to a halt*

*Fortunately it was a sturdy ship and designed to survive dropping out of a jump abrubtly, unfortunately its crew wasn't designed to get tossed about randomly and Flapjack found himself stumbles to his feet as the ship rumbled around, the abrupt deacceleration having caught him by surprise*

Flapjack: "Status report, what in godsname just happened."

SO: "We dropped out of our jumped in the middle of an ion storm, we should raise shields before anything becomes damaged."

*Right at that moment something blew at the back of the bridge, immediatly showering an unfortunate and rather jumpy ensign with sparks and causing him to jump backwards into a safety rail, which in return sent him flipping over in a rather akward way and landing in a manner that would normally be concieved as rather painfull. Luckily the ensign almost immediatly got back up, having sustained no serious injuries, though needing a new suit now*

Flapjack: "Tactical, raise shields, lockdown all systems, engineering, check for damage and deploy repair teams as needed."

TO: "Shields up sir."

EO: "Lots of blown fuses, but it looks like we didn't sustain any serious damage, I'll have repair teams on the way ASAP."

You all look at the mission board of all the missions this pays one of the highest fees also it has the highest DANGER RATING.

For almost 100 years plus the SILVA have proved to be a mystery - why do they live on DEMON WORLDS or HELL PLANETS? This question ahs always eluded the most advanced Scientist, there has always been speculation.

The DEMON CLASS PLANETS are a unique anomaly as they tend to be called WANDERING planets, this makes them hard to track - however one can be found 195 light years away - the problem - you will need to refuel along the way.

the planet is also located in CHRONO BORG SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say your crews are scared at the prospect of travelling to such a place and such a world.

CREW MORALE -10% for whole mission

your ships leave Ankaa for their first part of the journey

As you emerge from this Nav Point your No1's indicate that you have no entered the CHRONO BORG IMPERIUM.

SO - Damn!!!!! ....... Picking up 1 TRANS WARP CONDUIT....... OH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on screen out of the trans warp conduit comes the familiar ship of a CHRONO BORG CUBE

Comms - message sir.....

"WE ARE THE CHRONO BORG - LOWER YOUR SHIELDS AND WEAPONS. PREPARE TO BE BAORDED......... RESISTANCE IS FUTILE - YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED"

Maybe it's that whole gambling thrill thing Bolot keeps lecturing to me about...

Neverless it was done and at the moment Hewitt wasn't really worried about the possible consequences of his decision. Right now all he wanted was a drink, yes a nice 4 by 5 would really go down well. Making for the closest station pub Hewitt goes straight up to the bar and orders a pint of his favourite liquor. Thankfully, this being Ankaa, Colt 45 is in plentiful supply, it is plenty chilled and it is plenty smooth. *

A new ship and a crew, as Fluffie remembered. At first he would've guessed he and his own crew could've managed to operate and run the new ship theirselves, but then he realised there was a lot of hull and corridors to be kept tidy, which meant his new crew could come in handy. And maybe later on, when he could buy more things and gizmo's... Yeah, crew might be terribly funky.

"Ship came with a crew too, which is cool I guess. New ship certainly is bigger than the old one, so a few extra hands come in handy."

Fluffie then looked around, wondering if he had received his coffee yet. Somehow, he had managed to stay completely unaware of this.... And ignorance sometimes was bliss, but in the case of having coffee or not, in the first case it wasn't!

"I thought of one..." came the disembodied female voice again, clearly irritated now.

"'The Starwind' just seems too... too..."

The ships AI interrupted projecting a hologram of itself on the bridge. The hologram was grainy and insubstantial something she'd been telling him to fix. She fixed him with the classic scolded puppy look.

"Oh no. Oh no you don't. It's not going to work this time..."

The look continued. Eventually Kane broke.

"Alright... Fine... Reclassify the ship as The Starwind..."A sudden look of revelation appeared on Kane's face. "And while you're at it, register the Spritely Zombie, then change our IFF to match it's. Weapon's smuggling's not something you do under your own name."

The hologram winked out and the AI's avatar appeared on the much higher resolution display.

"And stop glaring, we'll change it back once the delivery is made. I promise."

Kane sighed and thumbed the ship-wide comms button.

"All hands to your posts, we are preparing to leave. Cargo bay, you all ready down there?"

"Yes sir." came the reply.

"Riiiiight..." Kane massaged his temples a moment. "Hawking, broadcast our request for permission to depart... Aki?"

Aki's avatar reappeared on the monitor, "Yes?"

"Plot a course to the pickup rendezvous, will you?"

Phelicia Bogg was staring out of the window, reflecting on all the events that had taken place over the last few months and which had eventually led up to this day. It had been quite an eventful day for her; she had been captain for... she looked at the clock in her quarters, almost 6 hours now and things were already looking better than they had done ever since her parents died. Well... 'died'. She looked at the 2 cryopods that, apart from a small table and 2 or 3 chairs, appeared to be the only objects in the room. Technically speaking, they weren't dead. However, you couldn't exactly call it 'being alive' either; she knew that. Oh yes. She knew what it was like when time ground to a halt and the blood became like an endless river of ice. She looked only 25 and, in a way she was, only she had been born 65 years ago and spent her first 40 years in a cryopod just because her parents didn't have time for her then. Her mother had been in cryogenic suspension for 5 years now and her father had joined her a couple of months ago. That hadn't really surprised anyone though; his condition had been visibly deteriorating ever since it had been established that he was suffering from Fluffie syndrom.

If only her father would've left her in command of The Frivolous Rainbow then they wouldn't even be in this situation, but no, he put her brother, Alizandro, in charge. And why did he do it? Because he was a man and she was 'only' a woman. Morons! Both of them! If it had been up to her, then at least there would still be a Frivolous Rainbow to be in command of! They'd barely escaped with their lives and it had only been thanks to her efforts that they managed to scrap the leftovers of The Frivolous Rainbow for a reasonable price so that they could buy this small fleet carrier.

Well, they had been a few credits short so she had needed to apply for a loan with The Stellar Bank of Ascares. The whole thing had been an ordeal for her. Not only was she a pirate and pirates didn't hold with loans, but the accountant was also trying to stare down her cleavage. It had annoyed her and normally when someone annoyed her, she'd turn that person into shish kebab with the sharp pointy daggers she inherited from her father. She resembled her mother in most respects, apart from her near uncontrolable anger and cruelty. She had got that from her father, but she considered this to be his only virtue. It had been the only thing he was really big at. Well ok, there had been that of course, but you didn't find that on women. Anyways, she had been able to restrain herself long enough to get the loan, but as soon as she was out of the bank and round the corner, she took it out on one of the many beggars that could be found in the less fortunate parts of the Ankaa spacestation.

And then there had been the matter with her brother. He'd assumed he'd become captain of the new ship and he'd already taken the liberty to name it The Drunken Monkey. She had been furious when she heard about it. Her brother was in many ways the exact opposite of what she was. Alizandro was a soft and gentle person with the intellect of a 12 year old child, but with the testosterone level of a horny rabbit on hormones. So she'd walked up to him and smacked him on the head and thereby more or less took over the ship. And people let her too, because everyone knew it was for the better. Her brother hadn't complained; he never really cared about anything as long as there were women around. And they put him in charge of The Frivolous Rainbow! Phelicia walked up to her father's crypod and gave it a good kick. "Bastard!"

At that point she was contacted by her first in command, commander Quentin Argyle. He was a very capable moderately handsome young man that had been wrongly accused of stealing and for that he had been booted from the Imperial War Academy. He stood 6' tall which was a little shorter than Phelicia was.

No1: "Sorry to disturb you captain, but there's a Captain Killer that would like to come aboard and have a word with you regarding our little enterprise, he won't tell me anything other than that."
Phelicia Bogg: "Killer? Didn't he work with my father once? Surely the guy must be dead by now? Anyway, show him to my office, I'll be right there."
No1: "Yes captain."

Curious as to what this captain Killer had to discuss with her and why he had suddenly turned up right here, Phelicia Bogg hurried to her office. When she'd arrived, Killer was already there, waiting for her.

Phelicia Bogg: "Now then mister Killer. Before we discuss anything, I would like to know if you are the very same captain Killer that worked with my father so long ago. I have heard the stories, you know."

As you will all notice I am not role playing your crews - this is because you can do it better than me - this gives me time to focus more on the action

when you are in a battle and are respondinf to my post please include a summary at the end - you oldies know what I mean - include what weapons are firing and what weapons are charging and firing at what also what defensive measures you are taking etc....

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Marcus sat back quite contentedly in his padded Captain's Chair, swivelling from side to side slightly as he watched the neon blue light show of Hyperspace flicker erratically on the bridge viewscreen of the Fortuna. He ran through the details of the coming battle again in his head. Lorgan Deus had two police cruisers, design unspecified, and one merchant escort class carrier, design unspecified, under his command. Captains Ascares and Solo combined had two destroyers under their command. The odds, then, were currently stacked distinctly in the favour of the freelancers.

"Nav Point 1 coming up...now." Steiner said, eyes fixed on the navigational console adjacent to his helm controls. Sure enough, barely a second later, Marcus felt himself being dragged forwards by the force of the Fortuna's rapid deceleration, feeling it even through the destroyer's powerful interial dampeners. The lightning blue of Hyperspace blurred gradually into white lines which, as the vessel entered its nominal sublight-speed, becade individual stars.

"Aernus, report." Marcus turned to look at Aernus Temenas, the ship's Science Officer, seated at his console to the right of the Captain's Chair.

"Nothing out of the ordinary. Lieutenant Commander Solo's ship is still with us and still in formation. We Exitted at the correct location. The nav becon is functioning properly. Fuel reserves at 90%." Aernus replied at length, not looking up from his console. Marcus nodded before turning back to Robert "Red" Steiner.

"Okay, Steiner, take us to the next beacon."

"Yes sir." Acknowledged Steiner, and, seconds later, the stars elongated into lines which in turn fused into the swirling blue vortex of Hyperspace. Marcus watched the display, again letting his mind drift to possible plans for the battle ahead, and to other things. Money. He had a lot of assets lent out at the moment, and a few liabilities as well. Off-hand, Marcus found that he couldn't quite remember how much money the Bank had in reserve - as a rule, he tried to keep half of the total value of his liabilities liquidated. Freelancers were financially volatile people and could suddenly decide to withdraw a lot of their money at short notice. Banking was a business of confidence, and if it appeared that Marcus was unable to supply his savers with their money, he'd be bankrupted in short order. His brothers would likely have been able to figure all of this out a lot better than he could. He'd have to go home some day soon. His father wouldn't be glad of his presence, presumably, but surely his mother and sisters would appreciate the chance to see him...

"Exitting at Nav Point 2 in exactly 10.4 seconds." Reported the Helmsman, cutting across Marcus' train of thought and derailing it smartly. The banker prepared himself for the pull of deceleration again - it still unnerved him slightly, but preparing for it made it easier. 10 seconds later, and Marcus was again staring at the canopy of stars laid out before him - though it was now subtly different from before. He turned to Aernus who, anticipating the question, immediately dropped his eyes to his console.

"We're in the correct position, Lieutenant Commander Solo is still with us and...wait, picking up something. Weapon signatures, shield frequency radiation and fuel emissions. Zero-ing in on the source...two Clan Frigates! They're bearing down on us fast," Aernus' seemingly omnipresent grin was gone, replaced by an expression of anxiety teetering on the brink of fear. "They have weapons armed and shields fully-charged. Putting them on screen." Presently, the image of two frigates, elipsoid shield envelopes translucent around them, appeared on the viewscreen. The light exhaust from their antimatter drive emissions the topography of their hulls into sharp relief from behind. They were moving fast.

"Sir, they're on an attack vector." Said Alanna from his left side, also staring up at the screen. Marcus frowned, his brow furrowed in confusion. He'd always been careful never to cross any of the major factions, and he'd surely never looked askance at the Clan, though he never had quite got the hang of their culture on his travels.

"Coms, radio both ships requesting that they stand off momentarily for negotiation." He ordered, turning to face Lora. The girl, even younger than most of the bridge crew, Marcus included, immediately typed the brief message into the console, hammering the return key quickly.

"Sent, sir." Came the reply. She waited, staring down readily at her console. Marcus turned next to Steiner.

"Red, move to evade their attack run but don't make it look too hostile. Kyrrick, you power up the shields to full but don't bring the guns online yet - have the gunners at their stations though. I don't want it to look like we're going to threaten them."

"Aye sir." Steiner replied, already wrenching the helm controls of the ship around. Kyrrick merely nodded and entered a few commands into his console. Bringing the shields online didn't take a lot of effort.

"Lora, send another message to both ships. Ask them why they're moving to attack." Marcus said, still not entirely sure of what to do. He hadn't given the Clan any reason - that he knew of - to attack him, and nor did he intend to. Destroying two of their ships would surely get him black-marked, if not worse...

Summary
-Shields powered up, weapons on stand-by.
-Helm ordered to evade the Clan vessels' current attack run, but to do no more than that.
-Coms ordered to hail both vessels, request that they abort their attack run, and request a reason as to why they're attacking.

The ship rocked as it was pelted by meteors.
"What the Heck!" Alexander yelled as the first of the meteors began pounding the Iwo Jima.
"Captain to the brige." the intercomm crackeled.
"Okay General, looks like we will have to do this someother time." With that Alexander left his desck and wen't to the brige.
"Status report." Alex barked as he came on the brige.

"Sir it apperas we have been pulled out of hyperspace by a meteor storm" the first officer responded, " So far light damage has been sustained, but life suport is down."

"What about axilluray life support?" Alex fired back.

"It is functioning at the moment, sir." The First Officer reported.

"Well lets not give it a chance to fail on us." Alexander said," Helm plot a course that takes us out of here as fast as possible. I don't want to give that blasted back up chance to fail. Also get the mairnes on looking for injured crew men."

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Marcus gulped uncertainly, the image of that sinister apparition still clearly visible in his mind.

"Right...ah...Kyrrick, power up the weapons, there's a good chap..." What on earth was that thing? And they'd apparently completely obliterated the crew of two Clan warships... "Helm, bring us about but get ready to evade their first salvo. Aernus, shift our shield power to the front. Flight Officer," Marcus pressed down on a button set into the arm of his Captain's Chair, and leant forward, speaking into the microphone on the miniature coms unit, "get Nat and Jerich launched immediately. Have them adopt holding positions above and to either side of us."

"Recieved, sir, launching fighters immediately." Replied the Flight Officer over the radio, his voice crackling slightly from static. Marcus needed to get those internal com lines fixed at the next port..."Falcon 1 and Falcon 2 are in the air, sir." He continued, and Marcus nodded to noone in particular before turning to Alanna, the ship's No1, standing smartly with her hands behind her back behind the padded Captain's Chair and to his left. She in turn inclined her head slightly and looked at him expectantly. She looked slightly anxious which, Marcus reflected, made her a woman with steadier wits than much of the bridge crew.

"Sir?"

"Have you ever seen anything like those things before, Alanna?" Asked Marcus, hoping that the ex-Federation Navy warrant officer would have encountered the like of these things before. He was quickly dissapointed.

"No sir," She replied, "I've never seen anything like that thing. But if they took over two Ninjato Classes like that with no external damage whatsoever, we can safely assume they're dangerous." That, he hadn't needed telling. He turned to look right, at Kyrrick and at Aernus.

"Kyrrick? Aernus? Any ideas?" He asked, still hopeful...again, dissapointment.

"No sir," Said Kyrrick, shaking his head, but concentrated on the displays of his weapon console.

"No idea, Marcus," Aernus said apologetically, "it looked like nothing I've ever seen. What did it say? Take our souls? Almost sounds like something out of one of those fantasy novels..." For some reason, something inside of Marcus told him that the words "fantasy novels" were of particular importance in that sentence. But why...he was struck by an idea. Pressing another button down on the armrest of his chair, he spoke again into the half-hidden microphone.

"Colonal? Are you recieving?" He asked, after Tashida Iyoda, the ex-Clan ship's Marine Captain. He'd been looking for the Clan for a long time - this was probably not the reunion he envisioned.

"Sir," Came the reply, Iyoda's voice like granite even over the coms, "I heard reports we are engaging Clan warships! What is the meaning of this?" Marcus did not doubt for a second that, if indeed he had engaged Clan warships crewed by living Clan citizens, Iyoda would be attempting to storm the bridge in short order.

"Calm down, Colonal," He said, trying to keep his words as concise as possible to save time, "we are being attacked by Clan warships, but they're not under Clan control." Marcus turned to Lora, still holding the armrest button down. "Lora, send that return message from the warships down to the Colonal." She nodded, silently acnkowledging the order, and within seconds Marcus heard an odd sound from the other end of the line - somewhere between surprise and cold, dark rage. Resolute, Marcus continued over the top of it. "Iyoda, your people have a better knowledge of legend and myth than do I, and that thing certainly seemed like something out of legend to me. Are there any records of such creaturs that you saw in Clan archives?" He asked. The Clan's origins lay thousands of years before, in the days of magic and battles of good and evil on old Harkun. There was always a chance, the slightest chance, that they'd encountered this creature in those ancient times...

Summary
-Weapons powered up.
-Helm to bring the ship about, ready to attack, but to anticipate initial enemy salvo.
-Fighters launched, ordered to holding positions above and to either side of the Fortuna.
-Tashida Iyoda, the ship's ex-Samurai Marine Corps Colonal, asked if he recalls anything in old Clan legend that sounds like these creatures.

And I suppose the SC is the one you get after installing those Security Stations on your ship (text mentions an SO, but that'd be confusing since the science officer is also an SO)?

Cid: On my way, make sure I have a coffee ready for when I get there.
No1: Aye, sir.

*Cid stood up and stretched his back out before walking towards the lift. As the lift itself sent him towards the bridge, Cid carefully straightened his uniform out and stroked his now stubled chin. Cid: 150% weapons damage? That's what we're looking for. Head towards the distress call's location! Relay the waypoints to the other captains and advise them that this is definatly our target.

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

Kane lost no time in issuing orders.

"Shields up. Charge weapons and lock on. Aki? You recognise our friends?"

Aki appeared in holographic form next to him.

"They're not in my database. I guess they've changed transponder IDs."

"Which means they're not liable to be here for a social call." Kane mused.
"Technicals?"

Aki paused for a moment and then a technical schematic of the other ships appeared on the monitor.

"Looks like they've made some modifications to the original design." she said frowning slightly.

"Open a channel," Kane paused, "Unidentified Vessels. State your intent..." The reply was nothing but static. "I guess that rules out making some friends... Fire a warning shot, all phaser banks, show them we mean business and repeat the transmission."

"Aye aye sir." came the brisk responce.

The ship vibrated almost imperceptibly as the pulse phaser banks fired a single shot simultaneously, the beams flowering out from the ship and passing harmlessly by the enemy vessels.

"If those fighters try anything then open fire with the Pulse Phasers. Target their engines should the opportunity arise." Kane announced suddenly.

Summary
- Weapons and Shields Powered Up.
- Weapons locks established on ALL "enemy" vessels (Assuming they've launched their fighters; otherwise it's less impressive)
- Sent transmission requesting identity and intent of "enemy" vessels.
- Fired a warning shot, 1 shot from each phaser bank.
- Repeated Transmission.
- Will fire pulse phasers at the fighters if they try anything.

Re: Andromeda Pirates - (New Beginnings)

A swirling black vortex opened, as the Dagger's Touch emerged from its jump. A long black, blade like shape, the ship slide smoothly into real space, followed by the ugly looking hulk that was the diplomatic cruiser Troth. Leading the way, the Dagger's Touch headed for the fourth jump point.

Alarms sounded.

"Incoming! Three destroyer class ships on an intercept course!" The SO looked up from his console towards the Exarch. His eyes narrowed as the view on the main screen changed to show the incoming threat.

"Give me detail scans on them. Prepare to engage."

The shields of the Dagger's Touch flickered to life, breifly visable as the four phase shields boosted up. The gunports opened. The four disruptors emerged form the forward hull of the ship. The two heavy IMOD's dropped from the belly. While the nose of the Dagger's Touch opened to reveal the Plasma Pulse Cannon.

"All weapons online. Plasma Pulse Cannon is charging. Shields are at 100%" The WO continued to look over his console, double checking everything even as he spoke.

"Shut down all secondary systems. We won't be need those. Divert the excess power into shields and weapons. Start powering up the blackhole generators. I want any and all excess power to be diverted into our shields and weapons. Helm, put us between the destroyers and the Troth. Comms, hail them."

Exarch Tsariach waited a moment while his orders were obeyed. The destroyers were getting closer and closer.

"Channel open sir."

"Attention unidentified ship. This is Commander Tsariach of the Dagger's Touch. Identify yourself and your intentions. We are on a peaceful mission. Stand down your weapons. I repeat, we are on a peaceful mission."

"Weapons Officer. Lock our guns onto thier lead ship. If they're hostile, commence firing. Target their forward shields with disruptors. Science Officer. I want detailed scans on their ships. See if you can find a way for our IMODs to be effective without having a take down their shields. Tactics, help him.

Now we wait..."

-=Summary=-

- Weapons powered up
- Plasma Pulse Cannon Charging (2 Posts left)
- Shields up
- Power boost to Weapons and shields
- Hail incoming ships
- Shoot them with disruptors (x4) if they are nasty bad hobittsses... I mean destroyers.

So the WO doesn't do anything except push those buttons that the TO tells them to push? I just don't understand where there are 2 people that take care of firing weapons and offering suggestions on employed tactics. Surely it'd be more efficient to have just 1 person that is responsible for both things? Is it ok if I combine my WO and TO into 1 person? I've always played like that anyway.

The WO locks weapons and knows about weapons. The tactics officer gives advice onto the tactics that should be used in combat, including manauvers, fleet movements, weapons to use, etc.

I'm combining No1 and TO into one, if it's all the same with LH

Edit: Seriously though, I'll just keep on asking specific officers for information concerning their specific fields when it's required. It's what I've always done. Maybe I'll write in a Tactical Officer after this mission or something...

Location - Nav Point 1
Distance - 20 light years
Fuel Used - 10%

All ok

Location - Nav Point 2
Distance - 40 light years
Fuel Used - 20%

All ok

Location - Nav Point 3
Distance - 60 light years
Fuel Used - 30%

All ok

Location - Nav Point 4
Distance - 80 light years
Fuel Used - 40%

All ok

Location - Nav Point 5
Distance - 100 light years
Fuel Used - 50%

Prepare for Battle
*Seeing the Chrono Borg ship on the tatical display, Incom laughs as most of his crew of shocked expressions. Looking at them, many of them not reacting, Incom scream violently at them.*

Incom: "Well, what you waiting for, them to explode in pretty little fireworks. Communications, hail our two companion ships, see what they have that Chrono-Borg hate. Engineering, activate the cloaking device and raise the cloaking shields, I want us to be another black spot in the blackness of space. Helm, fire main impulse engines, pull us up and around that Chrono-Borg ship while keeping us on the outskirts of their weapon ranges. Weapons Officer, arm all weapons, prepare to fire. Tatical Officer, see what options we have. Science Officer, scan that ship and relay the information back to our allies. Finally, Science if you detect that they have locked on weapons, warn helm and Helm, FULL evasive manuvers there. Finally, Medical Officer, get ready to treat me for bordom."
