Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
By the way I would just like to add it would be great if you can give us some indication of times and locations as this will be a factor as to when I arrive/go etc. At the moment I have no idea whats going on ;o and need to book my tickets accordingly so I get them on the cheap.

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
Exactly.
It's one of my friend's birthdays on Saturday and they're all going out in Windsor. I told them I couldn't join them but if you don't let us know what the plan is (or at least the basics of it) then I might just go out with them because then at least I know what I'm doing

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
There is no meet. Yahwe is stringing you along. You're just going to get murdered and eaten by the upper class because they believe they'll gain your various advantages (dante's ability to go without washing, pig's ability to chat up inanimate objects, deepflow's ability to consume more drugs than are produced by colombia in a calendar year etc etc).
Incidentally this explains why koen wasn't invited.

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
Right this is getting pretty silly, we need to set some kind of deadline whereby if Yahwe doesn't tell us details we will just set up something else.
Tonight sounds like a reasonable one.

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
what a bunch of whining sissies.
Champagne reception is from 6pm
Then we are going to a bar on new oxford street called 'the fly' - it's a trendy young place with cheap booze, good music, strangely attractive goth and emo girls and most important of all a dress code low enough to get you all in
Should anyone want to arrive earlier then they needn't worry. I am flexible.
Thanks to the low turnout we are all going to be very well provided for by dda's donation

What actually is the dress code - i.e. what does everyone else there wear? I'd hate to make a fashion faux-pas
EDIT: googled and worked out it's a Barfly, don't worry!

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
Ok, I shall wear either option A
Dark Blue Jeans, black shoes and a black shirt
Option B
Black Trousers, Pink shirt and black shoes
Option C
Blue Pinstripped suit, Blue shirt and black shoes
Option D
Light blue jeans with a slight rip in them, black shirt and black shoes
Will most likely be option A or B (most likely A) It doesnt really matter what you where, this being GD we are more likely to all have aids than wear something similar to one another.

I'll be in option D unless I find a decent t-shirt to wear. Which is unlikely, since it would entail buying one.

I could, but my trains home are 1am or 8am. Depends what time things will be ending, a park bench is an acceptable bed for me.

How did you know he was a mod? It doesn't change anything about him on my screen
Plus I think there's two exits too. Although they're right next to each other.
Without meaning to sound like a little lost sheep needing guidance, will you expect us to have eaten by 5:30 yahwe?

all i expect is that you have your journey wee
EDIT: the reason that I am being generally shit and not really available is because for once I am actually being kind. I have taken in a flat mate and am looking after her (no you may not see a pic). Given that tomkat is supposed to be (and will certainly claim afterwards) arranging this meet as well I could do with a bit of support. As it is I trust jon (t&f) much more. Jon could you just make sure that everyone coming has my mobile number and the confidence to actually call me? We lose nothing in planning. Any incidents that arise can be solved by gratuitous use of cash which is not a problem.
I simply want everyone there and decently dressed. It's too hot for anything formal - shirts and jeans will be fine - but by (all of the) god(s) if anyone tries to turn up looking like a tramp i'm dragging them to a clothes hire shop kicking and screaming, sticking them in black tie and burning their clothes as an example to others.

What I meant is "Are we going somewhere to eat or just to bars".
I'm a growing lad and need my din-dins.
If anyone needs/wants my number I can PM it to them or give it to them on IRC.

Seriously. That's less than what it costs in the pub down the street here, and this is a small town where the beer is regarded as cheaper than in big cities. I pay £4+ for a beer at the pub.
Gotta love Norway, eh?
Anyway, hope you guys are having a good time.

Will some one take photographs and post them?
Preferably taken before you are all smashed.
Though I have to admit I am sad that Pig is not going to wear his pink shirt as I belive it would have made a marvelous picture.

I'm not exactly sure how that will match a club night called Club Mother****er at the fly on that saturday...
Quote:
'Club Mother****er celebrates the enduring appeal of loud rock n roll, alcohol poisoning and frenzied dancing' - TIME OUT
'This is the kind of night that makes old people despair and young people feel like they're very cool indeed' - THE GUARDIAN
'The rock n roll house party vibe means the night usually ends with the mother****er posters being nicked, people wearing the decorations, girls getting it on and straight boys tounging eachother' - THE FACE'
'****ing lovely... a cult in the making' - BOYZ.
|
Sounds... Interesting...
The reviews of Sway are... ermm... also interesting

I think it'll be amusing. Plus we'll be able to all find each other easily as we'll stick out like a sore thumb!
Yeah but read the posts/reviews in more details.
The first guy, for instance, complains and complains then adds "well i'd never been to a club before". SO WHY ARE YOU WRITING A REVIEW ON ONE?! YOU HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE IT TO!
And the last one just describes a standard London inner-city club really. We're all going to be sloshed, so the type of seats or whether you can have an intellectual conversation probably won't be high on our lists of priorities.
However.
HOWEVER!
This review worries me:

Saw no other reply to this so figured id help out. Ive had trouble in London when i was younger and only had a provisional. This was in the main Leicester Square clubs though. But ive never had a problem in any club in London with my full driving licence. If you only have a provisional may just be best not to risk it and take your passport with you. Could lead to some fun drunken antics... Waterloo to Paris
