Brainteaser Thread
Because this is a good idea but will probably go largely un-noticed in a thread called "what was the last thing you purchased" made by what appears to be someone trying to advertise, lets have a brainteaser thread!
Starting with the one Jennifer posted: when are Hallowe'en and Christmas the same?
(I don't know )

Re: Brainteaser Thread
If I'd asked that 7 years ago, people would have been right in there with a whole load of answers. Some wrong, some very wrong, but someone would eventually have got it.
Forum users these days are soft.
A fellow encountered a bear in a wasteland. There was nobody else there. Both were frightened and ran away. Fellow to the north, bear to the west. Suddenly the fellow stopped, aimed his gun to the south and shot the bear. What color was the bear?

Re: Brainteaser Thread
From the same school of riddles as "all the windows on my house face south/north".

Look, either man up and answer/ask some 'hard' ones, or keep your trap shut and stop spoiling the kids' fun by answering the easy ones.

Re: Brainteaser Thread
How dare you go around answering riddles like that.

So he gave them the coy little wave and realized it probably would have been more effective if he hadn't been lying on their turkey.

By the way princess, did you go on to be an academic? I always rather hoped you might.

Re: Brainteaser Thread
It's a base joke. 31 in base 8 is equal to 25 in base 10 - that is to say that OCT 31 = DEC 25.
