Re: Booty Bragging Thread
From Parents:
iRiver IHP-120 MP3 player rocking
Electric Six - Fire album rocking
Knights of the Old Republic PC version - figured I should play it through since the sequal looked good and is out for the PC in February. Rocking
New watch - a little big, but undoubtedly more stylish than my last one. Chronorocking
New shirt - for my school suit. Threepiecerocking
Various books including (but not limited to):
The Communist Manifesto Not a communist. Honest.
Book on the Battle of Jutland Looks interesting - had an ancestor in the battle, which I think is why my parents went for this particular book.
Book on British governments' actions during crisis over the last half century or-so Already had this one.
The Highway Code Pending driving lessons come February.
Two Private Eye 2004 compendiums
Brother:
Dropkick Muprhys - Blackout album rocking
Grandparents:
Radio controlled wall clock exactly accurate to GMT I did ask for a wall clock, and this one looks stylish.
Spiderman 2 DVD Asked for DVDs but didn't specify any - still, this looks fairly good.
From relatives:
i, Robot DVD Again, didn't specify. I hear bad things about this film, but who cares.
Catch 22 Asked specifically for this one. Hear good things about it.

Re: Booty Bragging Thread
From Parents:
The entire series of Sharpe books (by Bernard Cornwell)
The Hornblower book series (by C.S. Forester)
Some "War Stories" book series, which includes things like The Great Escape and Colditz.
Computer games: C&C:Generals + Zero Hour (which is very good) - Star Wars Battlefront (which is in fact very poor, and feels more like a mod for Battlefield Vietnam, as it seems to have the same engine) - Settlers III (my Dad said he could get the Star Wars game cheaper if he bought it, but the pixels are ten feet high and it was made in 1992 or something)
From Brother 1:
Sharpe series companion
From Brother 2:
Miniature tank battles game, where you have these little remote-controlled tanks, an arena and a whole load of obstacles, and you can have battles or challenges with them. They are really cool because they have actual tracks, and recoil when they fire, instead of having fake tracks and hidden wheels, and making a pathetic noise when they fire. Really cool, but the T-34 doesn't seem to be able to hit the Panther I, even when you drive right up to it. It only works when you lift it up and point it at the tank by hand, which makes me think that either the infra-red transmitter from the T-34 or the receiver on the Panther doesn't work.
From Sister:
A skeleton encased in some kind of solid crumbly coffin. You have to dig it out using a plastic hammer, chisel and brush, then assemble the skeleton.
Others:
Money from relatives.
Lots of chocolate, including chocolate oranges and selection boxes (shudder).

I still refuse to see it because it's pretty much ignored the plot of such a seminal book whilst at the same time trying to profit off of the use of its name.
I got Morrowind for christmas
