doesn't quite cover tuition so i still gotta get a job.

Ah, I remember it well. Friday evening write a check on my home bank and cash it at my school bank so I would have money to get home and work all weekend, thereby earning enough money to cover the check I wrote to get home on and have enough extra cash to buy food for the coming week.
Nothing like collage to keep you broke all the time.

We won't even mention the times I would drop by a Proffessors house around meal time so they would invite me in for dinner when I was to broke to even buy a soft drink.
Make friends with your Proffessors, trust me on this.

this school is weird and we don't even know our proffessor's last names. (it's a security thing) everyone's on a first name basis. which is kinda cool.

I not only knew their names, I knew where they lived and would visit them at home quite often. I would even visit them at least once during summer break, and still drop by for a visit every few years.
