Misplaced optimism.
Right here's the scene...
You go to the freezer and remove a delicious tub of Haagen Dazs ice cream (or the brand of your choice), when you open it and remove the plastic foil seal thingy do you throw the lid in the bin with the seal or do you keep it out of some misplaced optimism in the hopes that some of the ice cream is actually going to make it back into the freezer?
I always keep the lid and I have no idea why

It would be just way too much ice cream to eat. You must CONSERVE and put some back for next time.

Must be just me but after two spoons of icecream (especially this time a year) I either have a cold tummy or I'm full lol.
Oh and yes I'm a she too, so the thing about women being horny and lonely eating tubs of icecream...that plane won't fly here.

I can eat alot of ice-cream in one sitting, I'm no female though.
however, if I do that, my mom will surely kill me, so I have to buy my own ice-cream to do that

I only peal the foil halfway back, that way you can only reach 3/4 of it the the rest is too far under the foil to eat, unless you've one of those damned long-handled spoons, damn those long-handled spoons DAMN THEM TO HELL [see sig]
