whats a power block?
and what is a normal block?
ie. what is the difference?

FAnG/CT/ND is much more of a powerblock than any other block out there that can be made....

Can you even have powerblocks with so few players playing?

Id say that if a block got the all/majority of the good players + a very high number of planets, its a powerblock.

Clearly when the to top dominating alliances from last round block alongside another 60+ alliance, id call it a powerblock. Atleast on paper.
We have seen the last couple of days what they are capable of, when we look at what theyve been able to do CT.
When we look at last round CT/FAnG/Apprime/DLR wernt able to take down ultores, even though they were giving it all for weeks.

Which 2? Ult and fang was #1 and #2 last round, with 32 & 27 planets in top100, and 3 & 6 planets in the top10. Makes them the 2 dominating ones, doesn't it?

A massive 2.5k roidloss for ct there!

Ultores/xVx won last round, i think that would make them the dominating block.

Well, CT is #1 because they have been the by far best alliance this round, so i think taking any roids off em with the lead they got atm is impressive.

Its obviously not so easy for CT, even with the massive value lead they got atm.

You said dominating alliances, not block.

And it's never going to be easy for ct, they won't ever ground fleets to protect their roids no matter how many they have and no matter how many alliance that will hit them. Hence they will lose their roids much easier than f.ex ult or fang would

Ultores won last round. xVx came 3rd FAnG came 2nd
http://www.planetarion.com/files/cin..._alliances.htm

FAnG are still coming 2nd making them a more consistent alliance then Ultores currently! FAnG are clearly the domineering force in planetarion!

Your kidding right? You should be in real estate trying to spin words and figures like that. Ult have had a 1st and are currently sitting 3rd. Averages to second, which equals FAnG, but advantage goes to Ultores for the win previously. So therefore Ultores are still the domineering force as you put it

How can you say my claims are ridiculous? The xVx/Ultores brotherhood blasted all oposition last round, why would they be any worse this round? Their bonds grow stronger as this close realtionship lasts. Im pretty sure you are better at cooparting this round than last round.

Re: Story of the round so far

Amusingly, FaNg has 16% more members this round. If we multiply fanG's score of last round by 1.16, that puts them 29m ahead of Ult last round. Clearly FAng are the alliance to beat this round. And if we further reduce Ultores' score of last round to 92% (the ratio of members this round to last round), that puts FANG 66m ahead! Woah!

So while CT have been the best alliance by far this round and taking any roids off them is impressive they've managed to do this with all/the majority* of the good players left in the game in other alliances on the opposing side? What exactly do they have going for them then? Extra cheese on top?

*Incidentally two very different things but I think if we start picking holes at this level for all of your posts we'd grow old and die at our keyboards.

Well clearly there is more to a alliance than good active players.
CT has played their political cards the best, and theyve been holding together as a team very impressively, and their HCs/BCs has been spot on with their military warfare.

well we're asked to ground 2 out of 3 fleets anyway. I think that's probably a good decision given our players aren't as active/skilled as yours and realistically aren't going to be organising waves of high eta def with our attack fleets.

Playing your political cards well has nothing to do with being able to hold onto your roids well under pressure. Neither does "military warfare" whatever the **** that means, presumably picking targets or politics. Just accept that you were talking shit on one, if not both, points.

Well, CT is #1 because they have been the by far best alliance this round, so i think taking any roids off em with the lead they got atm is impressive.

Its obviously not so easy for CT, even with the massive value lead they got atm.
Your downplaying your own capabilities

1. So when Evolution won a few rounds ago, even tho they didnt play the next round they were the dominating block by that logic...

2. CT is #1 cos nobody has hit them. Its that simple. They cannot defend, period, as you will see today as the lands come in. They have actually just jumped ship at the right time all round. The only reason they are still first atm is because Ult rejected FaNG's nap because Ultores HC's were too greedy for FanG roids which pushed FaNG back to CT.

3. This is so funny for you to say after bleating on for the first 500 ticks about how FanG's value lead made no difference to things.

What makes it even more funny is the fact that CT don't even have a huge value lead at the moment. In fact they just barely caught up to FAnG in value.

No wernt :crymeariver:
Everyone knows that having a good defence, and a good defence culture is very important when it comes to holding onto roids.
The best players are the players that usualy ranks the highest but many peoples view, and that is what ultores got, very good planet holders.
Good military warfare id say is doing the right moves with ur attacking/defending fleets
