Anyone who's looked at the standard http://gmail.google.com screen will see the counter rising! The standard account storage we had was 1GB but this is now increasing as the meter rises - what's the catch though?

I'm just excited though anyhoo
They're upping their storage capacity to two GB. I'm not sure what the whole idea behind the counter thingy is, but supposedly it displays your current storage, untill it reaches 2GB.

Cool.
Although...I know the whole point is that you need never delete mail again, I really wish you could easily see the size of mails on the front screen (without opening them). When I do fill up my 2gig (or 10 gig by then, whatever) it's going be a nightmare to try and sort what's taking up space (I think).

I'll worry about size when I get there, which isn't going to be for a while. And to be honest, storage capacity isn't the reason I use GMail. It's simply because it has a fast and clean interface
