Without the VeX breakup.. VeX could still have lasted out round 5 and Legion/Fury might not have gone back together.

How would you know? The split was between vts and nos, it didnt involve ely in any way, so any info you might think you have is second hand at best.

As for nos itself, the nos that existed early r4 after the split with vts was utterly different from the one that started r5.

With just a few key points turning out differently we could have had a very interesting R5 (Xan/NoS/old WP vs Fury/Lego/Ely for example, with BT doing its own thing in style) instead of the waste of time it turned out to be.

But we didn't do anything wrong. NoS left the 'triad', because of their dispute with Legion. They had no problems with Xanadu, so we decided to keep atleast a NAP with NoS.
Aside from that, we kept doing what we were set out to do: Attacking Fury and WP, because it was our goal to make it a "Fury won't own" round.
We also defended NoS, sure...against WTF. Eventhough I would have loved to see Legion ships die, I didn't send any Xanadu ships out to defend NoS against Legion. (Orders from Grim )

Legion should have been happy. 80% of the Xanadu members wanted to take down Legion. (Yes, I asked in our IRC channel, just when I got back from a k-line.) But we didn't. Oh well, I believe Legion has a history of upset allies, jr wings, members etc.

But being in Elysium we experienced bad sides from NoS all that round. And I think I can say we all experienced them as arrogant towards us. But the point I was making here was that NoS left the triad. VeX was made.. it was the new triad, and Xanadu turned their back to Ve part of the triad. And from Ve point of view at that time. NoS was the bad guys. And Xanadu sleept with the enemy.

I saw the logs where Koloth spoke with both sides. And from things happening late round 4, I did not think Xanadu would have backed us up if NoS turned against us late round 5.
I can't say I'd rather be backstabbed by NoS then by Legion. Don't make much difference. But it wouldn't feel good to leave Legion at that point of time. We where still trying to keep Fury/Legion apart. But things went the way they did.

Nobody asked you to care, and it doesn't bother/surprise me that you don't.

However, not caring about the forum rules has a way of getting people banned from them.

I'd read them, and follow them, if you want to remain a part of this community. Just like everyone else. You're not above the rules, sorry to say.

The forum was always fine when I moderated it, so I doubt very much it would be "boring" if I was running it again.

You miss the whole point of the 'no irc logs' rule though, but forget it.

Anyways, I wasn't insinuating I would ban you...you didn't do anything wrong in the first place...I was simply stating the rule is there for a reason, and regardless of the potential for discussion, this thread should be edited or deleted.

We're vastly approaching round 9, which believe it or not, will prove to be quite interesting alliance-wise, now that many of the major alliances have disbanded.

You'd think people would have a hell of a lot more to talk about than some ancient irc log from rounds and rounds ago.

also i don't see many interessting new treads atm so were is the problem? when the interessting new politic landscape comes up to discuss i'm sure nobody will care realy for that tread here or for the old ****. but atm here are only "old" players who might be interessted in that (i don't think there are any new before a new round have started) and not mutch to say atm about r9 since not mutch happened on the alliance landscape as far as i know at last nothing what is wanted to get public at this stage.

Based on the info Elysium HC had at that point of time, I think that 'mistake' would be done by any wise executive. Just the thought of allying with nos that didn't respect Elysium at all, made me chuckle (all offense). Personally I think the HCs did a perfect pick
