i would requote again but thatd just be silly. however  I agree.
I for one do not like having to pick the phone out of my pocket and then hit a key so the screen lights up so i can just tell the time. Personally....and this might just be me...i prefer to lift my arm a few inches and look down and think ahhh thats the time....could just be me tho..

Yeah I do this as well. It gets slightly annoying sometimes as it will back against the desk when I am writing but it just feels too strange on my left wrist. Like you though I only know one or two others who do this. According to the jibes I had over it though only gay men or women wear a watch on the right

Using a phone to tell the time becomes particularly annoying due to that annoying condition that seems to afflict everyone.
You look at the time but it doesn't actually regster in your brain. this then means you have a second look, so the inconveinience of getting out your phone and lighting it up to see the time is therefore doubled.

There are times where a mobile phone isn't acceptable, such as an exam or at work (although it depends where you work) and for these purposes I have one of the cheapest Casio watches from the Argos catalogue.

I have no watch. I can always think of better things to spend the money on than knowing I'm late for things. I'm quite happy in my current state of expecting to be late but not really being too sure. Of course this might be due to the fact I don't have a watch but that sort of shit is just plain bolshevism.

I got one of these
It tells the time, it beeps every hour,it hasn't broken, and unlike my last watch, doesn't change from 12hr to 24hr time whenever it feels like it.
It's comfortable to wear and I like it.

Anything which beeps any hour has nothing but my utmost contempt. On holidays, staying with my uncle he had this grandfather clock which made it's wonderful noise every 15 minutes which made it unnecessarily difficult to get to sleep. Also I hate things that tick and I can't sleep with a watch or "proper" clock in my room. I have temporal issues it seems.

the hour beep is useful for me as it tells me its 1 hour since I last lit a cigarette. I'm rationing myself ni preparation for my next pisspoor attempt to give up.

I want a watch, I need one while giving training and I for one am sick of looking at my phone for the time and more importantly, I do not want to feel obliged to have my phone always on me.

I wear a regular Timex watch, its pretty heavy for a watch but I'm used to it so it doesn't bother me, it looks pretty good and works well, the stainless steel means that it won't break like the plastic ones I used before.
Reasons for not using my mobile phone:
1. I would probably get it stolen if I keep taking it out and looking at the time in public
2. I could bump into someone, drop it and break it.
3. taking it out and putting it back into my pocket sometimes gets annoying, especially when I'm wearing jeans.
4. My wallpaper is black so it is pretty hard to see the time in the corner unless the clock screensaver is on which rarely happens because the buttons keep being pressed when I'm wearing jeans.

It was me who linked to them before (Sexual Offences Act 2003 I think). However, that is just one part of our laws (statutes) - we don't have an all-encompassing civil code like France, Germany, etc, do.
I'm fairly sure that Yahwe is referring to something from the common law (the judgements of judges sitting on specific cases). The common law is the law, except where a statute provides otherwise.
