My little brother went.
Apparently he got stabbed in the arm with a needle, or at least that's his version of events.
"Oh Well."

'If'
'If' I had any money
'If' I actually knew anything about the Download festival
'If' I could actually remember what the hell she looks like
'If' I'd actually saw her while I was there
'If' I'd actually gone up to her and said "Sorry, but I saw you at a wedding once and I thought I might like to feel your tits up from the back, let's say we do something amusing."
'If'

Depends what you are after in a festival tbh. For bands i would say Download was the best in the UK, hence why i went. For atmosphere i would go with Reading (where i am also going, Maiden, hell yeah). It's all down to personal preference and taste though i guess.
The 'secret band' was Funeral for a Friend, whose name was plastered all over official line-ups from the day the festival opened.
Got to say, had an amazing time, saw more bands this year at Download than i saw at Download and Reading last year combined. loads of random events all over the place was teh .
Big boo to the shit stains that invited themselves into my tent on the friday night to steal my mobile whilst i was asleep... Bastards never even closed the doors behind them which meant i woke up saturday morning freezing ****ing cold and covered in morning dew. Luckily (or unluckily depending on your viewpoint) i was still fully clothed and wrapped in my sleeping bag so it doesn't seem like i was molestered in my sleep, the option that i was teabagged is still open though.

Re: Download 2005
The one where they have a bunch of shitty emos singing about god knows what; lack of understanding, no comprehension of my emotions, etc etc. Where the singer can sing and the guitarist can play but you've got the goddamned drummer in the background shouting "OAJSIUDHAUIOPS AIAIUHUIWOAWI" really loud with a sandpaper voice making it impossible to hear the singer and making a mockery of music.

Sounds like a cross between Greenday and a Death Metal band.

I bought a FFAF album the other day.
They sound like a not very good version of Taking Back Sunday.
