well this is very weird, usually you find on the internet all kind of product information, while there are various technical things known about hockeysticks, they are hardly findable on the internet.

But usually you go into a shop (preferably with one of your hockeybuddies) and you check out all the sticks they have. In the shop you dribble a bit, usually they have a bit of astroturf (the better shops) for you so you can try it out a bit in the swing and push section, after that you buy it.
What you really want is to lend one for a week and just do anything with it, but that usually isn't possible.

What I usually do is check how natural my ball-control is with it, how normal it goes, and very important, how well it stays within my hook when I do certain tricky moves.


But that stick, I just want for back up. It is a stick specially made for Fatima Moreira de Melo (google it and look at her recent foto shoot, oh noes, let me do it for you ...) here and it is in bright pink (even more on the field) and I want it for back up and general shenenigans.

as for sticks, my last two i found at the club. i just had to put new tape around it so the former owner won't recognise it when i'm playing with his/her stick.
