on the contrary, it would have been more interesting to see who's really caring about what asc is doing or planning to do. I don't think they deserve any more attention than any other alliance in top10, and the way they're trying to present themselves as kingmakers looks just like a prepared excuse in case they don't win the round.

Out of curiousity, last round, asc were like nr 6 with 10k more roids than anyone else. Something along that road atleast. Who did win that round? Not saying this round is last round, but who did win last round?

Re: Ascendancy ‘giving something back’
roids didn't win last round, xp from good escorting and active medium planets did... and no, you can't compare the situation at all (we had several days of huge inc last round too, its not like we were sitting on roids unchallanged + def was awesome with all ziks ). If you want to hit the most roid fat ally, we haven't been it for 3 days or more...

And yet there's a 3 page topic about Ascendancy. Again.
If you want to know how many people care about us, make a poll of your own. Not that you'll get straight answers, but hey!

lol. Allies team up and crash on asc planets effectively donating asc up the ranks. Think this was how it started last round. Keep it up guys, GOGOGO

Re: Ascendancy ‘giving something back’
hehe DrunkenViking, I saw an Asecdancy planets defence today, and it wasn't Asc capping thats for sure, fooled by fake Zik DE, and ended up with lots of Recluse and Defender being stolen, over 150k if i remember rightly, not saying it was Asc defending, but was an Asc members base.
On the other note, keep up the good work on livening up the game, like your ideas, personally id just get F-Crew/Orbit to wave Ronin while you get free roids at the other 74 planets.

Re: Ascendancy ‘giving something back’
Ye, making a thread named "Ascendancy(!!) 'giving something back'" in order to piss off the 2 single strongest allies, by forcing them into something they do not want, surely is an attempt to lure attention away from asc... Congratulations sir

Chimpie was talking about teaming up with Ascendancy, not teaming up against Ascendancy.
No one doesn't want to team up against us.

what are you on about Chimpie? "we dont mind being hit", you talking about YOU?? as i know for a fact YOU do mind being hit and "we" as in alliance, as in "ascendancy" as a unit care massively about being hit!!!!, always in pms, always arranging the fence, always online at 'peak' times. Ascendancy cares more about this game seemingly, then any other alliance so do me a favour, dont talk sh*t on these boards, save that for #ascendancy on ng please, we dont need to read your nonsense

have to say, to most outsiders of asc they do appear to care more about pa than your average player. In a sort of sad die hard way... im glad they won a recent round shows they arent complete losers.

Well actually, the thread was made in a response to alliances not wanting to give us a chance to win, and possibly help themselves at the same time.
But hey-ho your alliance certainly will not be winning this round either, so truely outstanding political play there.

It makes no sense whatsoever to talk about Ascendancy as a unit, at least not in this respect.

well it helps that they're actually willing to discuss what they're planning on doing. people might be more inclined to discuss other alliances if they offered up similar opportunities to discuss them. it might also help if the boards didn't consist of 50% asc posters because other alliances are too scared to let their members talk here.

So now all the fuss is over, would ascendancy like to make a comment on how this tactic affected them ?
Wether it turned out as a great plan or even a great PR stunt?
Did it bite you all on the *bleep* ?

I'd call it an irrelevance.
If Ascendancy put in enough effort for a sufficient amount of time, we win planetarion. We didn't have the latter this time. Easy as that really.
Some might call that arrogance, I think it's more confidence in the players we have.

Re: Ascendancy ‘giving something back’
no, lokken is speaking bollocks. we played shit and we lost. we consistently crashed, we had a ridiculous amount of internal squabbles where idiots leaving tag cost us a shitload of score (2 t5 planets at the time of departure and another t100 or so)
so yes, if we put in more "effort" and didn't suck ass as people, players and an alliance, we would have won. but then what alliance wouldn't have?

This tactic was an unmitigated disaster and I unreservedly condemn all our HC's for coming up with such a shit idea.
