I have been informed by an Ex-FAnG player, that it is possible to change alliance for ALL players in game without the 72 tick "grace period".

Could one from "PA-team" confirm this or deny this, since I know that at least one planet, has switched alliance without going through this period ?

IF this is possible, why has an announcement not been made, or is this just an example of, "We DON`T know how to fix the FAnG problem properly, so we hope, that we are not getting caught doing it"

The entire FAnG debacle has been a farse from step 1, and points out with painful poignancy how utterly shit the current implementation of AH is and why no one would want to abandon homegrown alliance webbies.

Also, this 'christmas' theme is so shit I'd very much like to puke.

i hope i havent been the fang person cos i certainly never wanted to say that....
i certainly wanted to join your alliance for a period but i knew i couldnt join it ingame, if, then only after a certain period of time....

so i hope this shall not get a problem for me should i ever decide to leave an ally cos i do think this rule isnt so bad...
helps to think...
in this particular case tho it has evolved to be a particular disaster so a lil special treatment would have been good.
i found time to talk to any major alliance while the ticks dint run and well it had its uses.
i am now really knowing where i wanna be and can continue as fang bc with full power...

but heys does it really take 24 hours to complete something like this and then come up with a solution as bad as this one.
maybe im just stoned as hell but this has screwed my round up bigtime, webangel screwed my round up big time, so it has been a weird time. i needed that time and it has been a fun time tho an insane one and i have to say some ppl have proven what they are worth to fang.
this is no fang hail thread so ill stop here.

Anyway i feel i may owe some ppl apologies for a certain strange behaviour....
in vision, in fang in other allies, but i felt it to be the funniest use of those 24 boring ticks pa team offered me.

not really how it's happening. The way you presented it though would be unfair.

Fact is, All kicked pple can either rejoin FAnG without waiting 72 hours (not only rejoin FAnG, not another alliance). Those that got kicked and wanna abuse this temp rule to join another alliance will get closed.

So basicly the only thing it does, is to give FAnG te opportunity to re-add the members that got kicked. As you may have noticed that's like an impossible job as we untill now have only managed to re-add 50% or less. So whatever rule they make, it'll turn out worse for us then any other alliance (yet again).

Nway, just thought you should know the exact story, not the rumours

Seems to me that what they have done benefits Fang and only Fang. Would it not have been far worse for Fang had they told you to fk off and done nothing? Some people are never grateful....

Quit playing the sympathy card. FAnG (predominantly WA, who I now hold in very low estime) ultimately brought this upon themselves. The PAteam have have offered a solution. You may argue that they could have nulified the situation long before it escalated to the extreme that it did, but they didn't cause this.

Is a fair deal. Only means closed players and inactive ones won't rejoin FAnG again.

Apart from the FAnG players who left FanG just before Webangel published his login/password.

They have a clear entry without the "grace period"

One of those has already joined Eclipse, without waiting the 72 ticks according to the rules.

I am curious as to whether these players will be deleted, or if this "hole" is just getting swept under the carpet ?

This is to prevent defection of fang members to another alliance.
So if fang members join another alliance , their accounts WILL BE CLOSED.

That rule simply shows how stupid the alliance hard coding idea was. Now some people are not even allowed to switch alliances.

They are allowed to change side, but they are not allowed to benefit from what happend.. if they want to change side it will take them 72 hours, just like before the incident..

Still think it is extreme. They could just remove him for the ally and give him 72 hours time before he can rejoin an ally again. But delete the poor guy for not reading portal to closely or misreading it is extreme.
