Punk is Dead!
Or it should be if the 21st century incarnation of it is Donny 'I'm a mother****ing rebel cause went into the Big Brother House drunk' tourette. He is the frontman in a band of uber industry dick suckers, of which he sucks the most dick. Now I've only heard snippets of their music and it is fair to say it is a load of bollocks. Not only has Donny appeared on Celebrity Big Brother but the band has thier own documentary.
I find it difficult to think of anyone I have seen on tv who is such a stupid bastard. there can be no greater example of this than his appearance last night on Never Mid the Buzzcocks. If this guy was alive in the early days of punk it is possible that his attitude might have caused a bit of a stir but in the modern day it's all been done and is very tired.
All he did was act like a pathetic little boy who wanted attention, he was not funny and he tried to insult Bill Baily in a really pathetic manner. New host Simon Amstell summed it up brilliantly when he said to Donny 'Bill is a professional comedian. You are not going to win.'
the other guests were also below par except for possibly Vince Noir and I think the show should be cancelled before the show descends any further.

Re: Punk is Dead!
It was quite an entertaining show last night. Mainly because most of the jokes involved taking the piss out of Donny Tourette.

I just listened to some stuff on their Myspace, they're pretty dreadful. The funniest song is "Kill the pop scene", they sound pretty pop themselves.

Punk isn't dead, it's just really old. Especially in the case of Bad Religion.

We could always insert hooks into his chest and hang him slowly from the ceiling until he expires from blood loss and exhaustion three days later.
I don't know who to thank more, Idi Amin or Giles Foden

Re: Punk is Dead!
whats that, simon amstell is the man? ****ing right
Ive seen a few of their videos online, (go on youtube and search for towers of london off stage or something) and the main thing that struck me was for someone with such a mouth, he isnt able to follow it up very well. Much like the small ned surrounded by big mates

Timezones, Silversmoke. horn wrote that post at 04:43 his time. A bit early to go to the gym, don't you think? I wouldn't expect it to be open that early, at least.

Your double negative confuddled me for a couple of seconds but I have to say I agree completely.
When I first saw him on NMTB I rolled my eyes as I just associated him with "smug shitty T4 presenter" but he's actually very good.

'Popworld' under Simon Amstell was probably the best show Channel 4 has had in the last 5 years.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Amstell
From 2000 to 2006 he presented Popworld on Channel 4 with Miquita Oliver. He voiced the characters "Timothy the Popworld melon" and "Richard the Popworld horse". On Popworld he developed a highly ironic, surreal and leftfield style which gained the show a cult following, but angered many of its guests. One such example was a mock interview with singer Lemar called "Lemar From Afar," in which Amstell shouted questions into a megaphone from one end of a car park while Lemar stood at the other end.
Comedy ****ing gold

He'd probably volunteer after vampy had conned him into it being 'a life changing sensation' by exposing her breasts
