Movies For Rent
only recent movies that are likely to be in rental places now need apply. so basically, 2004 movies pretty much. i'd like to know what didn't suck. i've been watching a lot of poo lately and i'd like it to stop.
my contribution:
The Aviator (saw it last night. good)
Butterfly Effect (ashton kutcher yet it doesn't suck. ok at least for the first 3/4s)
Shaun of the Dead (yeah.)

Re: Movies For Rent
Sideways was very good. Sahara is the funniest movie I've seen since dumb and dumber but I'm not sure if it's out on DVD yet. I quite liked collateral for tom cruise (he's a dreamboat ).
The following movies were piss poor at best: Team America, Man On Fire.
That is all.

dude if you didnt wank over the lion hotty you are a faggot through and through
however, I've seen
Napoleon D.
Manchurian C.
Collateral
The Grudge
Sideways
and Closer.
i found Napoleon D. and Sideways were worth seeing (but not 'instant classics' in any sense of the wor), and closer was decent.
i dunno. i liked every movie i saw until i was maybe 16ish (godzilla),
and since then it seems like most stuff is just forgettable
i guess i'll check some of these others out...

Re: Movies For Rent
Closer was very good, aswell as Life Aquatic.
You have to like that kind of dark humour tough.

There is a tradition in many groups that, once this occurs, that thread is over, and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was in progress. Godwin's Law thus practically guarantees the existence of an upper bound on thread length in those groups. However there is also a widely- recognized codicil that any intentional triggering of Godwin's Law in order to invoke its thread-ending effects will be unsuccessful.
