It's a sort of Homeworld style RTS but is more focused on commanding groups of ships ranging in size rather than the hirachy of "must... protect... mothership...", which I think will make it better. By the sounds of things it has more diverse missions too.
Also, it looks purdy.

Homeworld 2 seriously killed off the genre for me

One review I read somewhere called it "what homeworld 2 should/could have been" so maybe the genre isn't dead.
I think I will give it a go in a month or so when I've put my new system together. There's no point trying to play it on my current setup, no game is fun at 5 frames per second.

Anyway that was for me the biggest turnoff game ever

Anticipated for years
Literally broke the play disk in two after six or seven hours of play.
