Just for the record, the Five Live commentary team came up with a very good point tonight.

Gary Megson played the majority of his footballing career at ..... Nottingham Forest.

That and Notts Forest probably couldn't afford Megson (no offence to forest fans).

I'm guessing the only Reason Megson was around till now was that the Board were hoping someone would pick him up and pay them a fat compensation fee, now everyone knew he'd be available for nothing in the Summer he effectively became a valueless asset to them.

I'll not be surprised if he waits a while if he doesn't pick up the leicester job for something opening up around the bottom half of the premiership/top half of the nationwide.
