And the winner is...
Winner is Gerbie.
He did the same in beta (rank 33 or so with 18 roids in the last bate). Spinner didn't change the code. So clearly Gerbie is the winner.

and all Gerbie did was loosing 10 ship.... he didnt get all that score from coverops right??

we will never know if Gerbie could have pulled it off for the whole round or not - myself, I'm inclined to belive he would - and no, not just coz he's a m8.
The problem was that there was no limit on the bonus he could receive. This time, the attacker was 100x his value, so he got his score gain in battle multiplyed with 100. Some claimed that later in the round normal players would gain more in attacks, but they forgot to mention one thing: So would Gerbie. The difference between him and the others would just grow bigger and bigger, and from shooting down 3 ships, as he did this battle, he would have gotten bigger and bigger and bigger
Gerbie won :-)

have u any idea how many times they "changed the code" during previous rounds .. if we counted it as a new rd each time they did, surely we are on round 121 already ....

Never before have they changed the round because they didnt want someone to win the round using tactics they hadnt thought would work.

Pld Gerbie..
He was in my BETA gal and did the same thing, it helped our gal tremendously as we allways had sufficient funds to trade with (and we took #1 spot after we donated him back the res he had accumilated in the fund till someone suicided his fleet). I have been trying to push this point to my current gal who just don't seem to get it.. *sigh*
But still.. ROFL!!
