XP1700+, 1024mb RAM, 200GB HDD, etc etc, running stable for many, many moons now (last reinstall was last summer I think).

Rarely. I about never defrag, because there is never enough room on the HDD's for it (you need atleast 15% free space).
I rarely check for virii or mallware because the computer is 1) not directly connected to the web, 2) IE doesn't get used on it, and 3) I'm a smart user and don't install weird software and keep everything up-to-date.
