this is a very interesting point actually and I think it deserves greater discussion. We all know of bias in the media, but what of bias in Match of the Day? Who picks the parts to put into the show an why?

People take football very seriously and it is a muti-million pound business and this can make a footballers life rather difficult or easy depending on how the game is cut.

For example, Craig Bellamy is a lazy **** and never runs except when the ball is right next to him. Now the game is cut to show all of the footage of his running (all 45 seconds of it) and people watching on tv think he is a really good player.

Apparantly, the opposite is true for Lennon. How should a game like Match of the Day be cut? Should some boring bits be left in to give a more accurate view of the players or is it all about thrills and spills?
