If the problem is with the graphics card being just plain broken, it's going to be tough to repair. Those are often very much interconnected to the motherboards, and most laptops don't really have an option to reasonably change one without going through major revamps. Then again, assuming it's an intel GMA, I'm astonished it's broken in the first place.
