Thats true for everyone though, as everyone will see rapid improvement the first few months, and then generally level off, with gradual improvement over time. As for fitness, you wont be seeing much muscle mass appearing if you are combining weight lifting with running, as around heartrate of 130 or more, your body starts burning muscle, and not fat.
