elephant is excellent apart from some amusing gimmicks chucked in here and there such as the two guys being homosexual etc. gerry was good too for the most parts but frankly it's just dull. the real issue with these real experimental, "out there" directors is they tend to completely forget the art of storytelling and leads to being tedious far too easily.

incidentally, i just saw a rather good film by shane meadows called 'this is england', not at all sci-fi but there's no other film thread so i'm just chucking this out there.
