interesting. i almost went the teaching route myself. i was gonna teach music to highschool kids. but my 'musical ear' is so trained that i visibly wince at concerts if i hear a wrong note (went to a symphony with my parents and my mom noticed me cringing every so often) that i think i would go insane trying to teach highschool kids music

well that and students are generally little shits especially to substitute teachers, which i would have to start out as.
congrats to you guys for sticking to your plan though, hope you make it
