As soon as you base your life on breaching the rights of others I feel that you lose the safety of your own rights, I dont deny that shooting him in the back is....of a dubious morality but it would be highly effective in stopping mobile phone thefts if they all got shot 
I dont think it would be smart to do that either but it would be highly satisfying, which was the main thrust of my post
